Men when you get sick....

I am not getting sex this week, I guess the reason is obvious. Men, when you get a cold does your prostate bother you? I know it isn't just the cold meds because he isn't taking them this time......

I mean it gets a little swollen and he cannot cum and even has a harder time pissing. Does anyone else get this when sick?

I think he should get it checked but he says it's just the cold.

He should get it checked out. I've performed under flu and cold conditions before normally, but perhaps with less enthusiasm than normal. Beggars can't be choosers, I say! :grin

Yah I think so too. His doctor already said he needed to get it checked every year....why are men so afraid to have a finger stuck up their ass once in awhile? Do you have any idea what we go through for an exam.......

My sex drive takes a dive when I'm really sick, nothing odd about it though, seems like a normal reaction to illness....never had any prostate issues with a cold that I can remember.

And you would think with Frank Zappa being my mans Idol...he would take it more seriously.....he is 50 now and at the age where I think you should get it checked every year anyway....

He should've been getting it checked long before now..but yeah hes at that age where it needs to be checked out every year.

He died when he was only 54 years old, he spent the last year of his life bed ridden in severe pain...the cancer spread from his prostrate into his spine to the point where he couldn't walk anymore and pain in his bone structure was intense. In the span of a several months i watched the light go out of his eyes to the point where he was nothing more than a hollow shell. I was never very close to my father and I always wanted to change that....but its too late for that now.

In response to the cold and performance thing, your man most definitely needs to see his doc before his cock falls off. To my knowledge an enlarged prostate is not normal at any age!

Unfortunately my granfather also died slowly from that cancer and it is a sad thing to see as it progresses into the bones and spine and kills the patient.

Your bf's issue might be minor, but it's always best to check. Tell him to get over a finger in his ass as it does not make him gay. :doh

One final thing, perhaps explaining that you DO NOT like going to the gyn,might make him get over it. OK.. like... a swollen prostate is bad. The 3 top killers of men all can be provented by getting a finger up the ass every year after age 40.

I have never given my prostate a thought through the times I am sick so I don't really know. When I am sick sex, food and smoking do seem to be the last things I want at that time so maybe that's the case here.

Sometimes taking cold medicine can aggravate existing Prostate problems. (enlarged prostate comes to mind - which can cause urinary or sexual issues)

you could just do the exam yourself..... or threaten to with a nice large toy... "The curly-q Pig tail Ass Drill" is pretty scary looking and would probably get him to go if he backs out....

(I saw one at the toy shop at the Vu and have been laughing about it for years now)
