Good place to live?

Im the guy from Aus here for a few months.... Well, I've been offered a full time job over here. Yay! So I was wondering if you guys have any ideas on a cool place to buy / rent (I work in Auburn Hills)

Just been busy lately trying to figure what i'm doing! Still here in detroit living like i'm lost... Need to get together and meet more people like u guys to keep me sane!

Yea i'm just trying to figure out a place to live thats kind of safe and where a few clost pubs / clubs are. Really hard for me to know - New Country, city, people.... Arrgghhh!!
