I now remember all the bullshit that drove me out of there in the first place.

Awww that sucks. I remember you had wanted to get back to outside-the-home work.

Well THAT was a big mistake!!

If everything goes as we hope, I'll leave again. This time, I'm not coming back. My kids need me anyway.

I would have picked the one about 5 years from now...but here I am, five years later, and I'm pissed now.

Posted

If I'm still doing this in 5 years I'll be pissed, but I'm content for now.

It's all such a sham, isn't it?

My boss is walking around showing people snaps of his horses. "Belgians", I thought I heard him say.

-Figures. Foreign pieces of shit.

I love my job, my boss, my work.

BUT within the next 5 years, the boss is retiring, sooooooooo I don't know what the stars hold for me.

I love my job right now. But, it's only one of those desk jobs while I finish college (this year!). Then, I hope right into Graduate programs along with my internship in teaching.

My job is OK. But, sitting in a vending machine next to a bag of pork rinds for 4 hours sucks.

I am there right now....

I draw cars all day. How horrible can that be? Stilll I see some improvements...

Depends on the day. If the market is rallying (prices are up) or selling off (prices are down) it is the very best job in the world. When the market is flat (prices unchanged), I want to hang myself. How's that for an answer? :erm :nut

I love my job! I never thought I would say that because I get bored easily and change jobs every 6 months or so, but I've been doing this for about a year and a half and I still enjoy it. I just wish I made more money.

the job i have now is slightly better than the one i had a few months ago, only becaue of the pay difference. however, i'm not wanting it to consume my soul, and if i'm there for 5 more years, and nothing's changed, then i'll be really pissed. i'll staple down the owner's feet to the concrete floor, and punch him in the face with a cactus untill something changes, that goes for his sister too.

I love my job or lack of one. It's not a "real job" apparently or at least thats what my parents say. They're right, it's not, but it is turning into one.

I don't know....some aspects of my job I do like and some I don't but in general I like my job. Most of the time is fairly non-eventful and boring but occassionaly something interesting or at least amusing does happen.

Like yesterday I got to see a semi completely run down a fence on company property while making a right turn....it was amusing for about 5 minutes. My favorite thing to see is when certain haughty "I'm too good for you" individuals find out they no longer have a job and have to pack thier stuff and get out...the look on thier face is....priceless. Another thing that amusing the hell of me is theres always a few "administrative assistants" working here that think its their job to "monitor" what the security department does. What they don't realize is that the constant complaints about non-issue or minor issues things thats out of the realm of thier responsibility gets them "black listed" so to speak, for terminatation when the usual department budget cuts come around....the scary part is that I've seen people get fired for things that they normally wouldn't only because they were on the "black list". At first I didn't take this job that seriously, but after working her for awhile and seeing how things really work behind the scenes and out of public eye I've changed my attitude....no one is really safe from them.

I have the most boring, mediocre job ever.

I am the most boring, mediocre person ever.

I make Ben Stein sound profoundly interesting.

Bueller, Bueller?

Did you ever watch Win Ben Stein's money?? The man was hysterical. Ben Stein is neither boring nor mediocre. And neither are you dear.

I have watched Win Ben Stein's Money. And you are correct, he is neither boring nor mediocre, having gotten himself a law degree. But he made a pretty good career out of acting boring and mediocre in the 80s, and still gets paid to do it for those ridiculous eye drop commercials.

Yeah, I'm no Ben Stein.

I love the CONCEPT of my job. Working with the art is cool and I'm good in customer service. I HATE some of the policies/superiors/customers though. It makes me pretty stressed out.. and pays pretty crappily.
