It pays the bills. What more do you want me to say?

I would say in any given week I only do about 15 minutes of actual work....the rest of time I space out in front of the computer even though it looks like I'm working.

I do hardly any work at my job, but I get a lot of bitching from higher management...so..a job is a job.

I don't recall if I've said this specifically, but.....

F*ck no.

I hated my job so much that I had to quit. It wasn't the job really I hated. It was the person I had to work for. She treated me unfairly...went out of her way to be a bitch to me and would not communicate work related things to me. She constantly was giving me shitty schedules and was always trying to make me look bad. It got to a point where I was so miserable and so stressed and afraid that she was gonna try to get me fired I had to quit. I could not handle the hostile work environment anymore. I tried to talk to her...and even the District Manager. Nothing was ever resolved.....and she hired her friend's boyfriend to replace me the day I said I was quitting.

The last day I worked was August 28th! I have been looking and interviewing for jobs but nothing has come thru yet. I have never had a hard time trying to get a job before. Its like the few jobs that are out there everyone is fighting for them! I tried to get unemployment and they denied me. I appealed it with a 2 page letter and should hear something next week. I called and they said there had not been a 2nd determination made. I really hope I get that money. I need it now more than ever!

Jobs are really hard to come by these days and if I knew it would be so hard trying to get another one I just might of tried to stick it out longer at my last one despite being stressed and having panic attacks before I went it.

Some days at my job i go lower down the totem pole, but other days it's not so much the job, it is the picky customers who want everything perfect.

I like my job but hate my boss. She decided to take me off of the schedule because I can't drive a stick shift yet gives hours to a woman with less senority who also can't drive a stick. She's bordering on sexual discrimination. Took me 3 yrs to get this job, I can't wait that long. I have a $99 a month storage unit I have to pay for.

Both.

Yes, I love my job. I am my own boss and work whenever I feel like it.

I also do bookkeeping for HIS company....which I can't stand and can't wait to get away from.

I have to qualify my "I love my job..." as It's the job I want, but I'm underpaid, overworked, under a lil more stres because of the workload. But I LOVE the field I'm in. I love my role in my company. If i was doing this anywhere else, I'd probably have more support, and I'd definitely be making about 10-15% more than I do where I'm at. But I'll use my experiences here to launch my career elsewhere. I'm just paying heavier dues to get to where I need to be than the average guy.

I lke my old job more now because I left. The new job is going to be pretty cool (I think).

Oh, Jeff....come to Baltimore.

:cool Bren, I promise to come there in the spring. I'll be feeling better, probably even have my knee surgery that I need before then, and my workload will be letting up.

Just move here. It'll be fun.

Tempting, but not likely baby.

I just got a new Job that I start right after thanksgiving. I have a feeling that I'm goin to like it very much.

for me - I sort of have to be in the mix to feel fulfilled.

I've worked in homeland security as a K9 Bomb Dog Handler in Detroit and Philidelphia.

I've worked as a commercial electrician every friggen where.

And I've worked as an electrical contractor Service Manager and Accounts Manager in So Cal.

But I do best in leadership positions, where I run crews of guys and handle problems on jobs, I like that sort of situation because I'm more of a natural at it. Its worth waiting and holding out and even fighting for that job that makes you feel good - because we spend so much of our time doing it and when I'm unhappy at work it bleeds into my personal life and thats certainly never good.

Still, I wouldent mind winning the Lotto and quitting my job in favor of taking my band on tour....

I found out to day at my meeting for the new job this:

I am one of the top three in management in my store. Why I didn't realize this is beyond me. I'm a semi-big cheese in my store.

Who knew?

Back home I loved my job, not so much the person I worked for, but I did like the people I worked with. Right now I hate my job but it will soon be over. I guess it could be worse, I'm still here. Not everyone can say that, or anything any more.

screw that working crap!
