BlackSkittles Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 I at least want to know what PH has to say about this. He likes French people.
Paper Hearts Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 You know what? You're going to think this is soooooo funny, but when I was in fifth grade (last year, right) my class was visited by an under-study of Marcel Marceau and he did some miming for us and talked to us a bit about being a mime. That's right, he 'talked', to us and he was a mime. Get over it. Anyway, at the end of his presentation he asked if any of us would seriously consider becoming mimes when we became older and yes, of course, I was among those who raised their hands. So yeah, he took everyone who showed that they might like to become a mime into a separate room and taught us some mime moves. And it was just in time because next year, in 1988, in middle school, break dancing was still a cool thing to do at school dances. I could do the man in the shrinking room and all that. So what. To answer the question though, I'll say that Marcel Marceau and mimes in general, are gothy.
Brenda Starrr Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Ew. Mimes. I wonder if they scream when they get their asses kicked......
Onyx Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Ew. Mimes. Brenda Starrr Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Mimes are creepy. Like clowns. They're going to eat me in my sleep.
Paper Hearts Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I just want to point out that I did not in fact, become a mime afterall.

soothsayer Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Ew. Mimes. I wonder if they scream when they get their asses kicked...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :laughing LMAO!!!!! :laughing
Homicidalheathen Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 He looks like a queer mime how do you spell myme..........mime?
BlackSkittles Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 The question was: Goth or not? Yeah, I know lots of people think mimes are creepy and worry about getting their asses kicked on a daily basis. Remember that 80s movie "Shakes the Clown" with Robin Williams as the mime instructor? But, miming is hard work. The theatre of silence is very artistic and unique.
kellygrrrrrl Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I find Mimes to be be rather freeky. They make me scared. If goths are considered freeky and scarey, then I guess yes, Mimes are goth! :erm
