Monroe piercing vs. Medusa piercing

I'm considering getting another facial piercing. I like Monroes and Medusas, and I'm torn between the two.

I'm conservative in thought when it comes to facial piercings. I like some, like eyebrows & nostril, but beyond that, I get to feeling like a fucking grandmother. "You'll regret that when you're 40..."

I'm sorry, but when I see women with a Monroe, I keep catching them out the corner of my eye and thinking they've got snot or a wart there. I don't find it attractive at all, especially with some of the larger jewelry. I think a Medusa would be twice as bad.

But that's just me. Drive through.

I'm pretty particular about peircing locations... and especially quantity. A few stretegically placed ones work for me. Anything that gets in the way of daily functions (or pleasures) is out.

All that to say: Monroe.

I think the monroe would compliment your face better than the medusa.....wish I could wear piercings at my job.

they are both peircings i dont find particularly attractive. ive had my lip, nose and tongue done (along with ears for ages) i like a lot that ill never get myself like eyebrow and theres some i think are good on some people like septum or bridge. but i just cant like those two....

I do not care for either that much but if I had to pick I would say Medusa. I have friends who have both and the monroe doesnt look good on most people and I think its rather ugly.

I like septum, eyebrow and labaret piercings. I also really like gauged ears but nothing bigger than like a 2-0 gauge. I have a 2 in mine and I have my eyebrow pierced.

i'm the only one that voted for the medusa. thought about getting it done, but i already have a vert labret. that would be too much metal in the mouth area.

i like them, but that is a bad picture to let people choose from.

it looks funny on that guy. i think you have to have the righ tlips for it to looks good.

I think the medusa is better suited to a hairless lip.....or at least one that doesn't look like that guy in the pic.

Thanks for the input. I've always liked the Monroe, but I know a number of people who think it's trashy or cheesy. But, I think it can look classy on some people, depending on the jewelry. I'll most likely go and get one next week as a b-day gift to myself.

The monroe is tougher to carry off unless you're sporting a certain look. It is one of those piercings that either looks fabluous or totally stupid imo.

The medusa I like, but I like it WITH the labret; I'm not sso crazy about a medusa stand-alone piercing.

I got my Monroe last on Tuesday and am still getting used to it. I ate a veggie sub for lunch yesterday, and sprouts kept sticking to it. I'm in the "it's red, swollen, and sensitive" phase right now.
