My arm is so sore. But I so appreciate being an American right now even if they got the strain wrong again lol

I have never had one. I did get a horrible case of the flu when I first moved to Michigan so I did intend to get one but then decided against it.

I don't mind the needle stick, I'm just afraid I'll have a bad reaction to it. I've heard some get sick from it. ? and then not sure if it'll actually really protect against the type of flu that is going to be out there.

I'm just not sure about the whole theory of it.

i hate the flu shot.

i never got it til i worked at the school i worked at. they basically made me do it. it was more like.... a strong suggestion to do so. i got the flu that year anyways. and someone i worked with said "well yes, you got the flu but not as BAD as if you wouldn't have gotten the shot"

next year i did it again due to some more strong suggestion. they didn't want me to get sick and miss work anymore.

that year i felt sick from it. my arm was really sore. really hot. got red all around it and itchy. i thought i was having a reaction. so the nurse came back and looked at it and said it was fine. and i would be "fine" in a couple of days.

never got one again. but then again i am not too big on putting stuff like that in my body to begin with.

I can't get one. I'm allergic to eggs and for some reason they say not to for that reason. I don't get sick too often so I'm not that worried.

Allot of the base they use in allot of Kids and Adult Immunizations are egg derived... i dont know how.. or why.... all i know is when i was kid getting allergy shots they had to use a special formula that cost way more then the insurance would pay so my mom allways had to fork out extra cash, they had to use it as the allergy test was positve for Chicken......... :blink

It never makes me sick. Me and my one daughter have to get it they say if you have a choronic illness and all....

They make me fill out a form first and it asks if your allergic to egg products.

Wierd considering most flu comes from birds???

I think we are going to get them next week. We were so sick last year. We have so much going on that we cannot afford to be so sick again this year. Also, I've been helping the neighbor lady take care or an 84 year old woman, so I need to keep myself well for her sake.

Health Dept has them in right now, make like your poor and sick and get thine butts down there.
