soothsayer Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 My computers clock keeps screwing up and no matter how many times I reset it after an hour or two it reads the wrong time. I don't know how it got messed up or how to fix it.
Scary Guy Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 http://nist.time.gov If your clock keeps messing up your battery could be dead or you could have some type of virus (probably the former). If you run windows XP it actually uses an auto update feature to keep it's time current. There is also a checkbox to say if daylight savings is in effect or not. Try checking the box and setting your timezone to EST. To get to this, right click on your clock and click on "adjust date/time" and look at the other tabs.
