Homicidalheathen Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Just reading in scientific American how 46% of Americans will suffer from some sort of mental illness in their lifetime. I don't know if that makes me feel better or worse actually.
gothicmom Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Makes me feel a bit more....ummm...normal! :grin
Crazed Vampyress Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 i feel like im one of the crowd now, thats for sure!
saechalyn Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I know I'm crazy according to the mental health community. But I don't listen to them anymore. I'm still crazy...but I'm much happier.
phee Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Anybody who doesn't think they are nuts is actually twice as nuts anyone else...
Nienna Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I know I have some err.... issues.. some of them are devreasing as I get older and some are new and wonderful. (yeah, right!) But yes, I avoid the mental health community and accept this as part of myself. Part of what is deemed abnormal these days is a bunch of psychobabble anyways..
DisturbedMania Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Blah! I think the quantity of people diagnosed with mental disorders is truely severely over the top. They just want to medicate everyone!
DarkVampire Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Just reading in scientific American how 46% of Americans will suffer from some sort of mental illness in their lifetime. I don't know if that makes me feel better or worse actually. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suffer depression so I must be part of that 46%.
Homicidalheathen Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 YOu guys are nutz. Someone told me that 95% of all dgn'rs are on some kind of anti-pyschotic and/or anti-depressant. So what pyscho ward do you guys post from? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who ever told you this is just jelous the voices don't talk to HIM! (or her) The voices talk only to those who are found to be 'special' ya know!
Eric Cartman Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Who ever told you this is just jelous the voices don't talk to HIM! (or her) The voices talk only to those who are found to be 'special' ya know! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> whateva, I do what I want! I suppose someone might be jealous of that "special" kid that got off that "special" bus with his helmet so he won't hurt his/her "special" head. People that hear voices arn't really remarkable, only crazy, thats why they either end up one of those bums walking around talking to themselves or ( if they're lucky ) get a nice cozy cot in the prison psych ward.
Homicidalheathen Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 Blah blah blah boring and ignorant posts ~yawn~
cptdeath Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I know I have some err.... issues.. some of them are devreasing as I get older and some are new and wonderful. (yeah, right!) But yes, I avoid the mental health community and accept this as part of myself. Part of what is deemed abnormal these days is a bunch of psychobabble anyways.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes for the first time some one shares my idea. thats exactly as i have allways felt.
Homicidalheathen Posted November 3, 2005 Author Posted November 3, 2005 My mother in law was a prisoner of war and she said it is few, most people buck up under preasure....but that a few people when pushed, actually do totally loose it. Personally I think most of us are just spoiled indulging in our own suffering but I am guilty of it too, so........ Thanksgiving is coming up anyway.
Blackmail Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Blah blah blah boring and ignorant posts ~yawn~ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I kind of liked it.
Head Wreck Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 addiction can be classed as mental illness. used to drink heavy so bleh otherwise i just do stupid things to draw attention to myself realy. hey least i'm honest
Morbid Side Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 There is not enough mental hospitals for all of us loony.
Daevion Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 If the Pharmaceutical companies had they're way it would that 99% of all americans would have to take drugs for all thier preceived mental illiness. I'm willing to be that at least 20% of that 46% doesn't even need to take any medications whatsoever, but take them because they think they have a mental illiness when in reality they do not, obviously the remainder does in fact benefit from those drugs or supposedly does.
Rayne Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I am not nuts....everyone else is....I think.....wait.....no, I mean yes, I mean no.....screw it. I must be nuts.
pharoh Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 The problem with thier statistics is that they classify anything as a mental disorder......which is bs. I mean, the whole depression thing is a perfect example. Just because someone has troubles and a hard time dealing with it doesn't mean that they should be medicated. They want us to be a medicated society, In my openion.
phee Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I am the only normal one.... all of you begin to envy me now
Daevion Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I am the only normal one.... all of you begin to envy me now <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...of course we all bow down to Phee as it is...
Rayne Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 ...of course we all bow down to Phee as it is... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed. *bows at Phee's feet*
saechalyn Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I don't bow down to Phee, but I am his imaginary friend.
