If that's the impression DGN, just the Internet in general (or both) give off, its pretty depressing. Not that I'd ever want DGN or the DGN community to be a "hook up" spot , but just by posting here you invalidate your intelligence/attractiveness and date-worthiness? That's a pretty upsetting thought thought. DGN sucks so bad that if someone posts here or meets someone here, they are now basically creeps?

Definitely not what I worked (and continue to work) to build up for the last 7 years. We've tried at least, to build a civil friendly and hopefully on average, drama-limited community in relation to the internet at large, which, being on many medium-sized board I thought we did a passable job at. Maybe not.

The Internet is a valid communication tool or facilitator of interaction no? Letters? Talking? Cell Phones? Parties? All just different types of communication right? Maybe I'm just confused about what the point is and am misinterpreting.

I don't view DGN as a "hookup spot." I think so many people on here hook up because they get to know each other on here first, then they meet in person somewhere (probably CC), and then that just... leads to more. I'm not saying that's necessarily my situation -- it's just probably just how it happens with others. I like simply meeting people from DGN at CC because I feel like I already know them by their posts on here. Most people would probably agree that it's a little better than just meeting random people at CC, because let's admit it... CC doesn't exactly attract the best crowd. That's why I dont go to CC to find sexual partners, I just go there to have a good time with my friends... and to molest those who don't fight back.

well troy for me it has nothing to do with "the internet" it is it entirely "dgn". i never came on here to meet someone to "hook up with" anyways. (remember, i was married at the time) and after reading some of the guys posts here, well, i'd NEVER want to hook up with them ever. sorry if those guys ruin it for the rest, but uh, they do. at least for me.

the idea that some of you have slept with TEN people from here already is disgusting to me. sorry, just is. or to read guys go back and forth about 16 year olds... yeah, sick. and various other crazy, whacked out shit people have to say. that's not to say i would want those people to not be themselves... but who they are are/come off as being- not for me. i've met some super great people here that i have decent friendships with for sure.... but nothing more.

and troy, you know (met) me. you know i am not a "gothy girl". i'm just pretty "normal". i like all things "goth" (music, people, the scene) but it is not WHO i am so i'm not sure i could make a "love connection" with a lot of people that are on here anyways. and most certainly not a "hook up"; that's not my style. i'm not a whore. maybe i might want to be a whore, but i am not one. ha.

The DGNers I've had relations with, occurred before i had ever heard of the DGN. I kinda stumbled on this on my own while bored one day a few weeks ago. As for sleeping with people from CC..CC has nothing to do with whom I sleep with. I rarely ever go.
