bit to ridgid for here, but my ignore list on here is slowly filling up with such accounts.

50% of what they post is often offensive to someone and on my forums alone would get a "fuckoff, dont come back" ban

I find it rather interesting that the fake names are annoying all of a sudden.  Some thought they were funny duing the "cheez-its" times, and that one was worse than most of the ones that are on now.

It becomes personal when you actually know some of the people. People who seemed to have such integrity before they deleted their accounts and/or made up new one to harass others. Some people must have some pretty low self-esteem to be casting such large rocks, knowing full well that they live in glass houses.

I really don't care about fake screen names....as far as Im concerned if people wanna have them so be it....there is something called free speech last time I checked. I never took any of those comments they made seriously...it IS the internet after all and as long as it exists people will spew whatever they feel like spewing...its the nature of the beast. If posts were nothing but serious posts things would get really boring really fast. I'm neutral about fake names...sometimes they are funny sometimes they are annoying but than again so are many other posts and posters I read on here and on any internet forum anywhere.....Im sure there are many who are annoyed at my posts...but my indifference makes me awesome.

Fuzzy bunnies are nice and cute but sometimes you just wanna feed them to a snake.

As long as Cartman stays in character I've no problem there, but a few people already know the fakes I don't care to read. It to be honest, doesn't matter much to me if they keep their false accounts running. I know myself and any harassment I may take is with a grain of salt. Maturity is hard to come by.

It's mostly annoying when it's done as a way of "hiding" your identity so you can flame & otherwise insult others.

Grow some fucking balls and do it under a screename people can identify you with. Or don't do it at all.

Thats what IP's are for, you can tie screen names to other screen names and punish the ACTUAL screen name of the person with a temporary or perma ban. Then they can whine "But this screen name didn't do anything wrong" and we can just laugh as they are outcast from DG.N existance.

As far as annonymous people and fake names go, I just think those are for people who don't have the balls to say what they want to say as themselves (or just to act completely retarded).

I am who I am, Scary Guy. I don't hide behind this name because everyone knows who I am, but it is technicly an alias. I am an asshole online and a lot of people hate me for it, but at least I have the balls to be up front about who I am.

They don't bother me, but I haven't been on very long. If it's something I don't feel like reading I just don't. It's easy to take the power away from them, just don't play into their game, eventually they'll get bored and go somewhere else where others may acually pay attention to them.

I wasn't going to respond to this, but I just wanted to say again that you shouldn't make assumptions.  You don't know everything that's been going on "behind the scenes," and you really don't know who you can trust.  Almost everyone talks smack about almost everyone else on the board--online or offline.  That is all.

actually anything i would feel about a member on here i would not keep from them.

over all i don't really care so much. it doesn't effect my real every day life.

i know some people on here - they are my friends. those are the people i actually know and care about.

every one else is just a screen name. even if i like you on here - if i don't know you, over all you are just a screen name to me. because essentially i don't really KNOW you to know if we would even be friends or not.

my real issue is i have to MOD all of this and it gets to be tiresome.
