Fullmetal Alchemist

My oldest daughter rented this and told me "mom you have to watch this". I love it! It's a little rough in the translation but I really enjoyed the story. I could tell there was something lost in translation here and there. Wish I could understand Japanese because I'd love to have watched the original.

(and I love those government alchemist uniforms - yummy)!

There were only three episodes on there and now I'm hopelessly hooked. I'm going to have to go rent the next set.

One showed how the main characters lost his leg and arm and the other lost his whole body (hard to explain, hehe) and one showed a religious freak with a snake oil type religion and the last was my very favorite where some sick freak tries to steal young girl's souls to make his very own live sex toy.

Those Japanese are freaky! No limits to their imagination like we have here. I have to find out more about this show.

Thanks Pharoh! I would, but I'm spoiled by my big TV ;) My computer screen is too small to watch stuff like that on.

Speaking of I had the new star wars a week before it was out.

But yeah FMA rocks. If you have cable it's on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block (or at least it used to be, haven't seen it recently).

Edit to say, subs over dubs

Looks like a brand new episode is on adult swim Saturday night at 11 ~ and I have acquired brand new addiction.

I've only seen a few episodes of FMA but it's pretty cool. Newtype-USA has been covering it like it's the last anime on earth so I'm kinda sick of that, but I definately want to see the full series.

Pharoh - PM me with the Libram Insidious (The book of the dark side). I had my ways, but they are no more. I have new ways, but they suck. I'm always looking for something better.

FMA rocks. Been watching it on and off for a while now. I also like Gundam Seed, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. My buddy has a DVD burner but we have yet to find a good program that works to burn stuff to DVD that will play.

Very interesting series, I use ta watch that show every night on AS. The one about that dude fusing humans with animals was pretty fucked up.

I love FMA~

My friend burnt the whole series to DVD for me, but it wouldn't play in my DVD player

yay! I know exactly how you feel. I caught a few episodes on adult swim, and a friend of mine loaned me the first disc after some casual interest, now I have a MIGHTY NEED to see the rest, but she doesn't have discs 3-4, and no, I don't have a dvd burner... at least, I don't think I do... :erm

I'll have to check into that when I get home. I hate blockbuster anyway.

Yes, it still shows on Adult Swim but I don't know if they're showing them in order or not. I catch it when I can but when I do see it (which isn't all that often), it sometimes feels disjointed although each episode is sort of its own story but yet, you really need to know the background to fully understand what's going on.

if you guys dont' know how to aquire it PM me and I will tell you how

Join Netflix. They have the 7 disc series available. I joined them recently. I'm getting the Gundam Seed series starting with disc 1. Depending on the plan you choose will determine your monthly fee. I took the 2 discs at a time, no limit on discs for the month plan for $15 a month, no late fees.

I used to HATE Fullmetal Alchemist because not only was it so over-popularized by fanart on DeviantART but the characters looked too generic.

But with the arrival of Wrath, the little Humunculai that looks like a boy...... I think I found a new anime interset because Wrath is SO DARN CUTE!!

I havent been keeping up with it lately, but I dont hate it anymore. Especially with the newer episodes, the animation appears smoother.
