Fierce Critter Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I sold a vacuum today to a woman who, it turns out, sells MAC at a discount on eBay. I told her I knew of some ladies who love the stuff, and she said to pass her e-mail address on and she'll sell direct without the eBay middleman at a great discount. If you are interested, PM me and I'll respond with her e-mail address. She's here in Michigan.
Brenda Starrr Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 After working for MAC, I discovered that certain products aren't worth the $$ they charge. If you can get them at a discount, then it's worth it. I don't dig their foundations, as 75% of our returns were those. They tend to break people out. Their Fluidline liners are nice. I love them. The lipsticks tend to not wear for long and are also sometimes drying. They have the best color selection in their pencils. Their pigments and glitters are something you can find in almost any cosmetics line for less. They also have the largest selection of gloss shades. Just stay away from the lip laquers, as they smell like melting Saran Wrap!
Fierce Critter Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 She mentioned the following to me: I've got quite a few LE (Limited Edition ) and Disc. items. Some items are above retail because they are LE Disc. items that almost become collectors items. I've got ton's of MAC here, many items are below retail. This might be the person to go to if MAC discontinued your favorite lip shade, etc.
Fierce Critter Posted November 30, 2005 Author Posted November 30, 2005 Hmmph. Was doing her a favor and then she went and weaseled out of the other deal we were supposed to have set for her to buy another vacuum. I know no contracts were signed, but this still pisses me off.
Fierce Critter Posted December 1, 2005 Author Posted December 1, 2005 LOL! That's what I needed to hear. Thanks, Brenda.
bean Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Well I'm not going to buy from her now..poo poo to her!
Fierce Critter Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 LOL! Oh, go ahead and take advantage, if it'll save you some $$. Maybe I can sell it to someone else.
Fierce Critter Posted December 9, 2005 Author Posted December 9, 2005 Eureka Whirlwind. And sold 2 days ago for $50. :grin
