Marblez Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 This one is posted elsewhere, but last spring when my son and his cousin were doing "art" downstairs, I was expecting something a bit more traditional :grin Just this week, he learned of "people chains" on the inside cover of a construction paper pad. He saw the result after I hung it up and laughed because it looks more like pants than people,
Scary Guy Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Nice, but technicly shouldn't this go under user creations. Or rather creations of user creations?
Marblez Posted December 7, 2005 Author Posted December 7, 2005 Nice, but technicly shouldn't this go under user creations. Or rather creations of user creations? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good question, I see your point, and there are more forums it could go into. I see it as more of a homelife issue and I will go with the the forum mods decision.
Brenda Starrr Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 That's too cute. And yes, it could go under either forum.
Marblez Posted December 7, 2005 Author Posted December 7, 2005 I think it is more about the kids than about the artwork by itself.
Homicidalheathen Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 This is actually pretty good. That your sons art comes in non conventional ways and that he sees art in everyday objects. 'garbage art' or 'recycled art' is cool as it is enviro freindly. I saw an exhibit of it and it was awesome. Who knows? Maybe some day a gallery will be filled with his works! Good to know you support it. My mom would have smacked me for wasting tape no shit.

JaneDead Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 i wish i had some of my kids stuff scanned into the computer to show. i love the stuff they do. my son when he was younger would draw little "cities" it would be houses, roads, car, people, trees, etc etc but it would all be so detailed. you couldn't just look at the picture and see everything you really had to look at each thing to see all there was to it. i was so impressed with the detail to it all. and he would tell me everything that was going on in every "scene" of the picture. he drew better at that age than i ever have in my life my daughter who is now four draws these little people that are more like big heads with stick arm and legs coming out of the head. i love them. they are funniest little people.
Msterbeau Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Some of the stuff my girls have come up with is awesome. I have a few things scanned/photogrpahed... I'll have to find more and post em. Cool thread Marblez.
