Listen to Three Imaginary Boys...

They were a punk rock band...how did this same band write Friday I'm in Love??

Three Imaginary Boys is not my favorite album by them. "17 Seconds" is.

And that's the style I most preferred from them.

But it's still different than Three Imaginary Boys. But also very different from "Wish".

I can see where you're coming from - I feel exactly the same way about U2 pre-and-post Joshua Tree, and R.E.M. pre-and-post Out of Time (most would put the change on Green, but Green still has some good, "old style" R.E.M. on it, but it definitely is 50/50).

although i am not fond of songs like "friday i'm in love" i can't say i wish they would have stayed the same and only stuck to one form/type of music.

i like a lot of stuff on wish, except for maybe 3 songs? they are right in a row too so i just skip right through them ;)

same with some of their other albums. definately like more than i dislike, but that goes with any band i like. and there are even some i am not that familiar with at all, and others i know every song on.

i don't know... i like when bands can do more than one "genre" of music.

I like some songs on Wish and I like how their style has changed throughout the albums. I like songs on each one. Its a nice variety. My favorite album has to be Disintegration.

The Cure as a funk band was pretty Hot Hot Hot! (I'd considder that funky, but thats like the only song)

I have to say that other than Three Imaginary Boys, Head on the Door is my favorite album. The song The Blood is great.
