Played eq1 for four years. played EQ2 from day one of beta until about july. just canceled WoW account and reactivated City of Hero/Villans account. there were other mmorpgs in there that I played but not like those mentioned

If you are into roleplaying go with eq/eq2. the roleplay servers there are excellent. If yer lookin to just blow off steam and not have to invest much effort or tiem play WoW. But be warned... the community in WoW is terrible. In five years of playign MMO's i have never run into so many annoying, stupid, childish, arrogant, illiterate, fools than I did in WoW... and I truely like the game, I just cant handle the terrible player base.

If you do pick WoW I suggest goign for the roleplay or the roleplay+PvP servers. atleast you will have a better chance at weedign out some of the idiots. They tend to not liek roleplayers cause they arent "powergamers adn after all the phat loot"

If you choose EQ2 go to the Antonia Bayle server even if you choose not to roleplay, but can handle rleplayers. Its a GREAT helpful community.

Thanks you guys. Yes, we like role play and fighting and spells.......but my man is real smart and like to stratagize and figure out clues.....mazes...he needs a challenge.

A Chellenge is EQ1. that game is just downright unforgiving sometime (they made it a bit easier now than back when i played though). EQ2 is pretty good for challenge and it really easy on the eyes too. Lots more newer players in eq2 still as well.

WoW is too boring for me, at this point in time.. I might start playing it again when the expansion pack comes out.

Played EQ for several years, EQ 2 is a flop, Dark Age of Camelot is a good one as well.

No I refuse to play a game online where you have to pay a fee for. Guildwars is an online game that you don't have to pay to play.
