Do You Think That You Look Good For Your Age?

Most people guess that I am 21 or 22 (I'll be 26 in February), when I've done my makeup and had decent sleep.  This always suprises me because I have abused my body (former drug addict, alcoholic, overweight, heavy smoker, don't sleep), and I have some wrinkiles starting around my mouth and around my eyes.  I have good genes in my family though, everyone on my mother's side looked much younger than they were.  People used to think my mother was my sister until I was about 18, and she just stopped getting carded for booze about 6 years ago (she is 51).

23. had deep frown lines since i was 17.

i had allways passed for older, though on ocasion i do get asked for id. (rarely, in poor lit areas)

No.  I guess people think so then I take off my clothes and well....I have allot of scars from surgery I wear with pride.  I am still alive!  That is all that matters at my age.

Knee surgery, two sets of breast implants that did not go well...I don't suggest people get them.

Tummy tuck no scar revision......3 abdominal totally open surgeries...a c section.....My tummy looks like a big upside down peace sign.  Heh.

HH, You have been through so much in your life, Illness is one of the biggest things i notice to make people look older....... not only with scars but in over all appearnace, I have seeen many of family go from bieng young and beautiful not only in looks but in spirit from cancer, chrones, heart problems, you name it they have probally had it ,to older worn forms of them selves. One of my biggest fears as i age is getting an illness that would casue me to be older looking.

You my dear have lessened that fear, not only do you look good for your age but for the amount of illness you have sustained you LOOK GREAT FOR YOUR AGE... and your spirit even though it may get tired, it has a young feel to it, you still love to be active and everything. YOU get along well with those younger then you. You are a younging.

I know I look good for the reason of reflection. Not the mirror but in my parents. They are so handsome and captivating...how could they have made 2 ungly ducklings?

I just pick out small bits of what is Mum and which looks like Da...then I smile :grin

If I got the gene my Mom has, until her health went down in 2000, at the age of79, my Mom looked like she was in her mid to late 50's, sometimes early 60's so hopefully I will be as lucky.

i think i look my age. my whole life i looked younger than my age but once i had my daughters and gained some weight and cut my hair i started to look older. i wonder if i lost some weight if i would look younger? or if i just look older now no matter what i do.

people never guess me older than i am. people are always guessing i look about 30 and sometimes younger (which surprises me- i don't think i look younger anymore) and i will be 32 this coming june.

yeah really no kidding. i had my first grey hair when i was like 10. seriously, i did.

then i started to really get them at about 25. my grandma was pretty much white at that age i heard. i have friends my age that don't have any grey hairs at all yet. then there is me at about 10 percent grey. and my husband who is about 40 percent i'd say (he's just 2 1/1 years older than me) :laughing grey has nothing to do with looking good/bad for your age.
