The "What Trashed Your Day" Thread

Just figured I'd have a thread that's more suitable for MY life and probably others' as well.

Today- I hate school, want to go home and do something, ANYTHING but be an automotive technician for the rest of my life..

That dent in our car just looks f*cking fabulous...........

I woke up early this morning, when I should have been enjoying sleeping in, in a mood to tell off everyone who has ever pissed me off in my entire life.

Repeats to self: forgiveness is for yourself, not for them...forgiveness is for yourself, not for them...

i thought this was what the "so what's your problem" thread was for

This is a goth board, there can never be too many places to complain.

You want to know what pissed me off? Dynomiiiite. Her complaining about too many complain threads really makes me complain.

Oh wait, that's another happy thought . . . . . shoot.

Anyway, for yesterday at least, I'm saddened that resignation to the ineptitudes of my job finally set in and I think they are there to stay. It's hard to be optimistic in just about any way, shape, or form anymore.

I hate being sick. My poor nose. If I ever see a tissue again I'll scream.

I want to gut a mermaid

*hugs*

Now, leave the mermaids out of this.

holy jeez.

well, last night marked the one week anniversary of my car getting broken into - the window smashed, the dash taken apart, the cd player gone, no heat, very lame in this five degree weather. also, i came home from dinner to find that our dog had eaten a whole bag of pistachio nuts, and a big black chisel marker, so there were black prints all over the floor.

nice.

Discovered that the "No Caseys Allowed" Livejournal group is alive, well and thriving with people that aren't me, yet want to talk about me. :unhappy:

That's flattering as hell!! I wish there was a No Amandas Allowed group.

Six months ago I got a new boss. She's been great. She was promoted from within the ranks of editors so she knows the job inside and out and was never afraid to pitch in when we got behind.

She got a better offer from another company Friday and she's leaving.

It's not as glorious as it sounds.  My roommate told me about it and from the sounds of it, not much good is said.  It's headed by my ex, if that says anything.

And he knows about it because he's part of it.  Don't trust anybody. :cry :

Ew, okay, that does take away some of the appeal.

How incredibly juvenile. Seriously, that's pretty ridiculous.

1. A conversation with one of these parents who act like their kids' misbehavior is a virtue. Sample:

Me: Yes, he's very bright but he is really showing a bit of a negative attitude. He talks back, doesn't want to follow directions, and is pretty disrespectful sometimes.

Parent: Oh yes, he definitely has an attitude!

(another parent during a similar conversation): Yeah, she definitely has a mouth on her! That's my baby, always gonna say what she want to!

I guess what really annoys me is not being able to say, "So if you know your child has this issue that is highly likely to be detrimental to her/his future success (or life expectancy if they ever leave this podunk town for a real city), WHY THE FUCK DON'T YOU TAKE STEPS TO CORRECT IT?!"

2. Discovering that water is leaking around one of my kitchen windows during tonight's rain.

I wouldn't say either one trashed my whole day, tho... 'cos as a rule I won't let anything do that. But the first definitely pissed me off, and the second is definitely worrisome in an "oh gawd what next" kind of way.

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
