Downloadable Drum/rhythm machine demo?

I need to find a downloadable demo of some kind of drum/rhythm machine software for a quick project.

Any recommendations? I can check Kazaa & WinMX if there isn't something available on the web.

Thanks for that, Onyx. I'm downloading one of the freeware packages to see if it has everything I need.

In the meantime, I'd appreciate suggestions from people who have actually used this type of software, so I can get the scoop from someone "in the know", knowwhuttImean?

Has anyone here used any of the packages listed on this page? I've heard a couple people mention FruityLoops.

I was hoping to find something that includes effects as well as drumbeats.

All the stuff i know about is "payware". Not that anyone i know ever actually paid for it.
