Blackmail Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Comes out next year, it's about a thrid of the size of the xbox 360 and about half the size of the Ps3. It will be less expensive as well and less powerful. Still, it seems they are going to be doing new things with this console that havn't been done before. The controller is supposedly "revolutionary" because it has motion detection: Thoughts?
Rayne Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 It looks like a laserdisc player (remember those) ... with that blue lighty long strippy looking thing near the top.
Homicidalheathen Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I don't see what good motion detection is compaired with the features of xbox or PS2 What, it comes on when I walk in the room?
Slept with ghost Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I don't see what good motion detection is compaired with the features of xbox or PS2 What, it comes on when I walk in the room? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that was cute but the motion detection in the controller makes it work like the light gun that came with the nes. So when you play games that make use of it you aim the controller where you want to hit shoot or move and it goes there i think that it will cause for alot of great games that people cant make for the 360 or ps3 plus one can only imagine how great any star wars game might be with it just think about the light saber battles
Blackmail Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 I'm loyal to nintendo so I will buy it. I own the gamcube and love it. I just hope EA Sports continues to support the Nintendo consoles because Sega Sports stopped making games for the cube in 2004. Metroid Prime 3 for the Revolution will be sweet. I have nothing against the Ps3 or Xbox360 either, I may buy one of those too.
Slept with ghost Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 same here i will get the ps3 and the revolution as far as EA and the sports games go im sure they will continue making them EA didnt become the highest selling 3rd party company for no reason if they know something will sell then they will make it i just hope that the new zelda game doesnt get pushed back to the point that it becomes a revolution only game
Fierce Critter Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Love the motion detector thing. I doubt we'll get a console, but that seems pretty cool.
Falstaff Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Isn't the revolution the Nintendo console that is going to let you download and play any game in their catalog, from the NES to the Gamecube? I kinda like that idea, but I was severely disappointed in the lack of titles for GC, so I'll have to hold off until someone demonstrates its worthiness.
