honestly, it's some of the farther-out people who make the scene more interesting, and keeping a parking spot open for some "hardcore" characters who improve/add to the goth/alternative imagemakes sense to me - i can see the logic in it. :erm

If they don't find a way to expand the paid parking soon I probably won't be back. I don't want to drive all that way just to have to be disappointed, and I can't always get there early enough.

FC, you made me laugh. It was painful.

Me and a friend are designing a 'crack head' board game......

I just got a new idea...

Goth club......IN a metro area....

You have to be fast and catch and mug one on the way in.......

Oh yes!

10 whole points! (or crack rocks)

collect the rocks and move up to dealer, then the game REALLY gets good.

I hate to say this, but the last few times I've parked in that parking lot (I usually don't park there tho), I didn't have to pay anything, the guy just smiled at me and said.. go straight through.. *hides in shame*

Of course I MAY or may not have batted my eyelashes and smiled.. lol

The latex twins.. don't know them, they seem kinda snooty, but I'm usually drunk, and never really cared one way or the other about them.

I happen to really enjoy the latex twins.. I'm not great friends with them but every time I've talked to them and even the first time I was introduced to them they have been really nice.. Course I'm not blinde and have seen how they can act twards people that piss them off. Now do they deserve their very own parking spot.. Heh if they have been going there for years and years almost every saturday night and have developed a friendship with the parking guys ummm yeah who really cares.. It's one single spot..

Hmmm ponders* I would pay good money to see what they look like under all that latex though... lol

i chatted them up at luna this past year, and they were very friendly, and approachable - even gave me advice on other bars in the area...

The twins are AWESOME!

I talk to them every time I'm out and about. I've gone to the show once, myself and a friend at the time went to it, then got asked to be apart of it, we bailed, and went up to CC.

I know them both by name, and they are just great. I enjoy our little catch up time.

I've talked to them a few times. They are cool, and pretty down to earth, but at them same time they always give me the impression that they have a bit of a superiority complex over everyone who doesn't wear head to toe latex.

Although I can understand them being a bit standoffish from too many people thinking it's ok to just walk up and grope them because they've got unusual outfits on.

They used to be regulars at The Labyrinth from day one. They've taken the masks off there on occasions;they both look kinda Mediterranean to me. Never talked to them apart from "Whaddya drinkin'" and "that'll be $4".

I'm sure they're great people and have nothing against them. They are a bit of a "one hit wonder" though. Other than wandering around in head to toe latex, do they have any marketable skills? I just don't get having an elitist attitude if your only claim to fame is maybe a $grand's worth of clothing between the two of them. Anybody with money to burn can do that. Show me some bullwhip stunts, walk on glass, eat fire, or do something cool, then I'll be impressed and willing to deal with an elitist attitude. Stand around and look different? Whoop-de-shit.

Let's not forget their dancetastic gothic two step. Never did see them on the floor at CC, but have at Necto. Made Me look like a choreographer.

Doesn't seem to me to be a question of "Do they deserve their own spot because they've been there forever?"

It's more like "Do they deserve perks from attendants they've probably known for a long time?"

IMO, that answer is yes. Part of the fun of having friends is that sometimes you benefit from the perks of their employment, just as there are times when they benefit from yours. I'd like to think not many here would be able to deny doing this in one form or another.

LOL! Yeah, pretty much.

I would think it's probably hard to dance in all that stuff. Especially the 6 inch heels.

*On a side note I've always wondered why people wear boots/shoes like that to the clubs. Yeah, they're hot, until you try to walk or dance. Then you just look like you're trying not to fall down. I have 6 inch heels, but they've never been worn outside my...um...bedroom.

Exactly, to me being walking latex dolls gets old after a few times. I look at them, go "sweet", and then don't look at em again the rest of the night. I understand going to the club to promote their business and socialize, but dancing seems logical for a club.

And I'm sure they can't dance, they'd overheat and pass out due to the latex. Just seems kinda limiting.

6 inch heels eh? Yum!

Man. Talk about old threads. :D

I'm over this kind of thing. Though one reason this irked me is because I've been going to CC since around 1990. Long before the Twins ever set foot in the door, and when the parking lot wasn't even fenced in.

Whatever. I don't care anymore.
