I was at an elite function with my grandfather in Oshkosh, Wisconsin several years ago hobnobbing with the rich and famous. A really really old guy, like REALLY old came hobbling up to chat with my grandfather. After they exchanged pleasantries, my grandpa introduced me to none other than Mr. Shlitz, the founder of Shlitz Breweries.

Stuff tastes worse than piss if you ask me. Not that I know what piss tastes like. You forgot one beer on your list though: Hamm.

I know it's out of spirit of the thread, but if I'm low on cash, I don't drink anything and save my cash for what it needs to be used for. :innocent

I have never been able to bring myself to taste beer.

American beer smells like urine to me and I can not stand the thought of drinking something that smells that way. I've heard people from Canada and the UK call American brands "piss water".

i drink forties like everyday

well not so much as i used to but that doesn't mean i don't still try

of all forties their is one that defies the rest the bud ice forty should be a staple in the diet of america.

the level of drunkness far surpasses all weaker bear. though it's not camo or steal reserve

the taste crisp refreshing will begin to be associated mentally to the feeling of relaxation after work.

of course if i don't have 3 dollars and i've only got two dollars. then there is two choices in my mind. millwakees best ice or my pesonell favorite king cobra

i would have to say the beast is a nice fuller bodied brew then cobra but you pay for it alot longer the next day.

i appreciate a forty of king cobra when i'm broke and a drinking buddy breaks me off with two bucks.

I abhor beer, so I will not drink it - period.

But Jon is drinking this crap called Hoffbauer Ice, $5.00 a 12-pack at Kroger. He says it sucks, and so do most websites that review beer.

What I don't understand is, Jon doesn't like beer. But he drinks this stuff 'cause it's cheap and "good when relaxing".

It's something he and I disagree on. I don't generally drink around the house. I almost exclusively drink at CC or other clubs/social situations. I have done some drinking around the house, and generally, all it does is make me tired so I prefer to stay away from it.

In the spirit of the thread, I prefer to save $$ when drinking anyway. I was doing Fighting Cock Bourbon for a while, but I got tired of the cost. So I'm back to vodka. Happily, I have found I really do like Burnett's flavored vodkas at about $7.00 or so a fifth. I buy two flavors & mix them with cranberry juice. Two fifths generally last me a month or more.
