Wounds Within Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I might try to catch a hockey game if team USA ends up playing against Russia, Canada or Sweden, but thus far I really have not paid much attention to the Olympic games. Is anyone watching any of the events?
Draco1958 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I've watched some of it, men's 5000 meter speed skating, the snowboard stuff and some of the skiing but don't have a big interest this year.
Guest Megalicious Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Man I swear When Jarod asked me if I had ever watching curling before I was like " WTF are you talking about"? Then we started to watch it at like 6 in the moring on the live feed on some crazy canadian channel. WOW. its like if crack was a sport it would be curling .. once I started watching .. I couldnt stop lol ..
phee Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Back when I had national pride... I watched it....
Rayne Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 ... Curling is addicting ... it's weird. Damn Canadians ... oh wait ... :doh As a former skater myself (by no means Olympic material) I watch skating ... that's about it. December, 2004 I was in Salt Lake City ... it's still all Olympic-y over there.
The_Dark Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 The wife and I watch figure skating... balet on ice.... it's sexy.
JaneDead Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 i love the figure skating. i always have. i love the synchronicity, the outfits, the moves in general. i think it goes back to when i was a kid and i wanted to figure skate, do ballet and gymnastics (the floor stuff mostly). they all have the same effect on me. this time around i have also watched some skiing stuff (not sure the exact titles of the events) and the luge.
EvilDivaEva Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 I do like to watch Olympic womens figue skating.
ZhukovCodeslinger Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 The only event I wanted to see was the Biathalon.... but its running at 6am everyday so that sucks.... they should have switched the time with somthing that everyone pretty much sees as universally useless like curling or group speed skating
Guest Megalicious Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 The only event I wanted to see was the Biathalon.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only Biathalon event I watched was the 20-kilometer and was disapointed to see Bjorendalen take home the silver =( Biathalon is crazy. It not only takes endurance but marksmanship under such extreme conditions.
