I think I may have to go to this. I actually have Saturday off so was going to take advantage of that rare occurance by going out. I wasn't sure to where though so I was going to create a poll asking DGNers if I should visit Mephistos, City Club, both, or other.

It's been years since I've gone to Luna and it's closer to my house than the other two, so I might actually come.

~ What kind of music will they be playing?

~ Is there a cover charge and if so, what is it?

~ Will there be an over-abundance of preppies? Neo-discoers? Punks? I don't really care, I'm going gothish anyway, but I'd like to know the general crowd.

no cover before 10 on any night at Luna, but you'll want to get there before 10 anyway because of the complimentary drinks!

Luna attracts a variety of people from all walks of life. It doesn't matter how you dress. Most people don't care about that.

All I can suggest is try the place, and the anniversary party is a good start. Every night is a bit different, so give each night a try and see which one you like the best.

Luna is by far my favorite bar! Its clean, has a great atmosphere, pretty good drink specials, an awsome wait staff, and the dj's play absofuckinglutely the best music to dance, sing, and drink to in the metro detroit area!!! Especially DJ Chris Rohn....YOU ROCK!!! They even play pretty much anything you request. There is only one bad thing about Luna....its only open till 2am. The good side about that is that City is always open afterwords if your not ready to go home yet. Personally, I find that I have a much better time at CC when I have cocktails beforehand. Everyone should give Luna a go.

I only went there once, at least i think thats where i was. i went with a friend of mine. Yea... thats where we were. it was pretty nifty. it was smaller than i thought it would be but the drinks were def decent.
