Help - OS needed for laptop

Since my ONLY friends are on DGN, here I am, breaking radio silence again...

I have a laptop that I'm trying to sell. Purchased it at a yard sale with Windows XP Pro on it, but I did not have the install disk. In preparation for selling it, I was going to re-install Windows to clear off all erroneous garbage.

But the install disk I had - from a co-worker of Jon's - turned out to be faulty, and now I don't have ANY OS on it (long story how I ended up deleting the original one).

Does anyone know where I can get an OS to put on it? XP would be nice to have again, but I'll gladly settle for 2000, ME, whatever, just so I can show the thing works.
