phee Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 You know other people rave about how wonderful and awesome they are and you are just like: "um... no... I don't like it.... not even a little bit." Mine: The Crow (maybe I am just not goth enough or cool enough to get it... or maybe I liked the graphic novel a lot more) Lost Boys (Near Dark was just so much better and not so damn corn-ee) Titanic (I believe this movie has been made about 20,027 times before) Pretty Woman (perhaps the original screenplay for this movie would have been interesting)
The_Dark Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Someone is going to shoot me for this... Blade Runner - Way to put me to sleep.
phee Posted March 3, 2006 Author Posted March 3, 2006 *Phee shoots DarK* Seriously... thanks for the honesty
CandyQuackenbush Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I think anyone can agree with me on this. Even tho they are funny... The American Pie series. Once they did the Band camp one, which I didn't bother to see, that was just enough.
Msterbeau Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 *Phee shoots DarK* Seriously... thanks for the honesty *Grabs the gun and shoots him again* I'll probably get shot for this too: Corpsebride. Tim Burton's earlier stuff was better.
Rayne Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Corpsebride. Tim Burton's earlier stuff was better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haven't seen that yet ...
CandyQuackenbush Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Steel Magnolia's did NOT make me cry. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haha, I just bought that from the 7.50 bin at walmart last night.

kellygrrrrrl Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Haha, I just bought that from the 7.50 bin at walmart last night. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :laughing You MIGHT cry......if you have a heart, unlike myself..... Mine is actually a machine, and it pumps oil, not blood. I have wires, not veins. I also have a muffler, not an asshole.... I fart Carbon Monoxide, not Methane gas :laughing :erm
Msterbeau Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Yeah, your so shot for that. You just wanted to see more blood. :fear
CandyQuackenbush Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 You just wanted to see more blood. :fear <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *punches marc* There, now theres more blood. *laps up blood*
Head Wreck Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 blade runner. nice bit of eye candy (bint with 40's hairstyle) but agree with dark... zzzzzzz near dark am better than lost boys agreed totaly.its the kids in that that took out all the grittyness and gave it the atmosphere of a 1960's disney movie for saterday morning kids cinema club. (god i hated going to those because of the naffness of the disney films and the over active middle aged men that would try acting ott to get us excited (i sat at the back and hurled drinks cans at the screen) titanic. shit film. nuff said sta wars epi 1-3. i like my star wars, but i could of happily lived without those, infact they ruined it for me. any american attempt at horror. esp teen slasher. look, when will it end. the killers are stupid and unoriginal and i hope to god that middle class americans arent that inteligently retarded. welshman would have just stuck his head in and probably KO'ed the killers. and why must the directors feel the need to try to keep a fast pace throught. if the stuff they write was any good it'd just desensatise, but its not. its not big and its not clever. most american comedies. stop relying on public humiliation as the punchline. that joke is old. bring out the proper slapstic films please. buster keaton is rolling in his grave ffs. war of the worlds. nice bit of effects, they tried to bring the story closer to home. but you know what. it aint got shit on the original. on that note STOP MAKING REMAKES THIER ALL SHIT (asside from payback, that was an improvement i admit, plus it has lucy lui in PVC :D) i cant help being male

I agree with all of the above except Bladerunner, and perhaps Cabin Fever by Eli Roth
Slept with ghost Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 i too am with the dark on bladerunner okay now this may seem like a death wish to post this but the nightmare before christmas the matrix star wars death becomes her and thats all for now
JaneDead Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 i really have WAY too many to list. let's see- titanic. i didn't really like that at all. and so many people loved that and cried over it. the "love story" aspect of it just bugged me. then there are the "comedies" like: american pie, something about mary, etc. all those kind of movies all my friends seem to like and i HATE. if someone tells me "that movie was SO funny" i usually don't like it at all. heathers pulp fiction pump up the volume all the movies listed here by you guys i either do not like or did not see. except steel magnolias - i do like that movie. and it made me cry i think when i first saw it. hmmm so so many. just trying to think of the ones people i know love and i can't stand... you name it, i probably don't like it.
sass_in_the_pants Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Steel Magnolia's did NOT make me cry. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gasp! Shebly didn't wake up!! For crissake, SHELBY DIDN'T WAKE UP! Have you no soul?!? i too am with the dark on bladerunner okay now this may seem like a death wish to post this but the nightmare before christmas the matrix star wars death becomes her and thats all for now <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the Matrix there was the red pill, which was the "real" world and the blue pill which was the manufactured world. About half way through the movie I wished that Keanu had taken the fucking blue pill so I wouldn't have to listen to his damn monologues anymore. I'm with you Just Dave. Overrated.
Fierce Critter Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 It's Saturday night, and I'm going to have some fun with DGN for a little bit. Nyah. But I'll probably be shot dead for this one. Citizen Kane. Sorry, I just wasn't affected or impressed. Maybe I'm missing something, but whatever. And while I'm putting myself out there in harm's way: Most things Hitchcock, including Psycho. Most anything "serious" by Woody Allen. Give me Bananas & Sleeper, and maybe Purple Rose of Cairo, but keep the rest. (Not to mention I'm disgusted by how his behavior with Mia Farrow's children was completely glossed over by those sycophants who want to work with the perv) Nightmare Before Christmas - it was just o.k. Just. And I'm a BIG Tim Burton fan. Scarface. Say hello to my liddle Zzzzzzz... There are others, but those are the ones that come to mind for now.
Slept with ghost Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 oh yeah thanks fc im am fully with you on scarface that movie just bored me
kellygrrrrrl Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 I saw a clippet of the part where Sally Fields Freaks out on some VH1 thing, they were making fun of it. I had not seen the movie before seeing the VH1 thing. So I was actually laughing.....my friends were so offended sitting there all crying..... :laughing
