DarkChylde Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 So far the ones I think its highly overrated in my head so far is.... Horror- Scream 1 2 and 3. First, I think there not horror in the first place. Second, who cares about the fucking jocks killing each other, just let them be until there all dead. Comedy- Scary Movie 1 2 and 3. Im just plained tired of peeps talking about these all the time, like its a "must" to watch otherwise you dont qoute on qoute fit in. Fuck fitting in.
n0Mad Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Not just Steel Magnolias was overrated, but "Magnolia" of the non-steel variety was overblown for me as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, that did kinda blow. It had it's good moments, but overall I wasn't all that impressed.
CandyQuackenbush Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 :laughing You MIGHT cry......if you have a heart, unlike myself..... Mine is actually a machine, and it pumps oil, not blood. I have wires, not veins. I also have a muffler, not an asshole.... I fart Carbon Monoxide, not Methane gas :laughing :erm <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I actually love that movie. Its cute. If I could get the Golden Girls on DVD, I'd be set!
DJ Nocker Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 You know other people rave about how wonderful and awesome they are and you are just like: "um... no... I don't like it.... not even a little bit." Mine: The Crow (maybe I am just not goth enough or cool enough to get it... or maybe I liked the graphic novel a lot more) Lost Boys (Near Dark was just so much better and not so damn corn-ee) Titanic (I believe this movie has been made about 20,027 times before) Pretty Woman (perhaps the original screenplay for this movie would have been interesting) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i thought near dark was terrible in comparison to lost boys! i mean come on, a blood transfusion cures vampirism....how lame.
Goth Brooks Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 the comedy value of lost boys made it superior to any other vampire movie ever made. mine: anything by tim burton (sans batman 1&2)
soothsayer Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Titanic (I believe this movie has been made about 20,027 times before) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agree.
kellygrrrrrl Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I actually love that movie. Its cute. If I could get the Golden Girls on DVD, I'd be set! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This for you Candy Quackenbush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahhahahaha the Golden Girls! HAHAHAHAhahahahaha :laughing I love them....and BTW...I believe I saw box sets at Meijers
Blackmail Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 over-rated: - pulp fiction - resevoir dogs - the usual suspects (ok this was good, but not that good) - heathers - the crow - The 5th Element - Titanic (hard to call it overrated since alot of people hate it) -Crash (the newer one that won the oscar, I thought it was silly) -Any Michael Moore movie (funny how a million websites popup after his movies documenting all the factual errors and loose statistics) - Mullholland Drive (David Lynch's mess that was worse than Dune) - The last 3 Star Wars movies (utter crap) - All the "Lord of the Rings" movies, seriously this fantasy stuff is nonsensical crap. How can anyone over the age of 2 like this shite? - Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrells (had to fit a non American film in there somewhere) by the way, headwreck there is some great American horror films, you are just judging the entire Country by the cheesy slasher flicks. Cronenberg did some great stuff in the 80's.
phee Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 Me loves the Cronenburg! And I loved his movie "Crash"
n0Mad Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Lost in Space was also overrated <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't think that movie was rated. All I remember is it came out with flashy ads, people thought, "Ehh", they went to see it, then thought, "Yeah, I was right. Ehh." Overrated is when everyone says, "OMG! That movie is the r0xx0rz!!!" and all you think is "Ehh". I don't think anyone said "r0xx0rz" about "Lost In Space". (Probably because that word wasn't around back then? LOL.)
wormsinwombs Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Finally other people that think bladerunner is over rated!. The crow and OMG napoleon dynamite!!! I hate that movie so much.
JaneDead Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Finally other people that think bladerunner is over rated!.The crow and OMG napoleon dynamite!!!
