honeymustard02 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Since it's about makeup I put it here. I've gone through my make up once, but I'm doing a finally over haul and want to know if anyone wants it? Most of it has only been used a few times if that. I'm addicted to trying everything new. Hense why I have a ton. I'll try and get a list of what's in it soon. If you're interested, email me or PM either works.
Brenda Starrr Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 If it's eye shadows, mascaras, and pencils, etc., throw them out. You should never share eye products. It doesn't matter if you've never had an eye infection of any sort. Also, never keep your mascaras past 6 months. If it's lip or cheek colors, it's cool to share. Just an FYI from a pro artist.
honeymustard02 Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 A LOT of it is lip glosses and lipsticks.
Dollardave Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Darkchylde and crank will take your lipstick heh.

FarrIL Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Hey I wouldnt mind taking that eyeshadow from you!! I love colour around my eyes, regardless of if it's been used or not. oo;
honeymustard02 Posted March 8, 2006 Author Posted March 8, 2006 Lol If you want it and you're not going to blame me if you get germs then I'll PM when everything is sorted

FarrIL Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Sorry to be responding late, but eh. I have some eyeshadow that was previously owned and slightly used. It doesnt bother me, I'm not a germophobe. If I break out from used make-up, then oops on my part. ^^; I just like playing with make-up so I'm not too worried. I honestly never thought about eye infections or anything up until it was mentioned. But then again, if you have Conjunctivitis (( Pinkeye )), why would you wear eye make-up, or any kind of make-up, anyway? Any eye infection or affliction...... wearing make-up would only irritate it. <<; ;>> That might've sounded arrogant........ but it was just a thought. oo;
SpidersMoment Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 i would surely like to know what you have. Is it free? or do we pay the postage?
honeymustard02 Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 I have a question about something you said Brenda. You're not supposed to share eye makeup but evertime I watch someone do someone elses makeup on tv and stuff they have a whole load of makeup that they obviously use on more then one person. If we're not supposed to share why do that?

Brenda Starrr Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 There are products to do that, as well as wiping everything off with tissue and using disposable applicators.
FarrIL Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 That reminds me of those foamy triangles that my sisters would use for their foundation...... Looks like I better pay a visit to the dollar store for more foundation and also some of those foamy-thingies.

Your eyes are NOT anything you want to fuck around with. It isn't a question of whether someone with conjunctivitis used the makeup... the issue is environmental bacteria & the little buggies that infest everyone's skin. & being a germophobe has nothing to do with it... my usual philosophy is the more germs I'm exposed to, the more resistance I'll build up. But eyes are a whole different story. I am religious about cleaning my contacts, makeup brushes, & not keeping eye makeup too long. To put that into perspective, I'm the type who when my cats used to pee on the bed, I'd squirt on some enzyme stuff, throw a towel over it, & go back to sleep on the other side. I hear you saying now, "well I've used other people's makeup & never had a problem". Yeah, but think of this indisputable truth: All the people who've gone blind from corneal infections, HAD NEVER GONE BLIND FROM CORNEAL INFECTIONS BEFORE! Likewise, everyone who's ever died from [insert infectious disease or lifestyle excess of choice], NEVER DIED FROM IT BEFORE!! That's my incredibly witty way of saying... you may get away with something 99 times, but if you have some horrific consequence the 100th time, the other 99 kind of fade into insignificance. Again I know I get kind of lecture-y about these things (well, hell, I AM old enough to be your mother )... but all I'm saying is, take chances if you want to, but at least be fully informed about what the consequences could be.
