National "Pick Up" Day at Delta

I went down to the cafeteria to fetch myself some lunch. I asked the cashier if they took debit cards, which was a no, so I ran to the Surcharging ATM just down the hall. And HAD to take out 20 bucks just because the ATM said so.

So I get back to the cafeteria, grab a tray and wait to grab a slice of pizza.

And, I look, there's a guy dressed in a blue uniform (( looks like a young mechanic )) and he says Hello. I say hello back. He asks what my major was and I said Graphic Design. I asked him his and he said Auto-engineering (( I do believe )) and I said that I could tell by his clothing.

He asks about my ear piercings and went through all 7 and named off the gauges when he asked about their sizes.

Chat for a little bit, I get my piece of pizza. He slinks into the crowd and gets his pizza.

Then he asks me if he could call me sometime.

So, I said yeah and when we got to where I set my stuff down, I pulled out a pen (( him making the remark "Someone came prepared" )) and I wrote down my cell phone number, he gave me his.

Then, after lunch, I ran into a classmate from Drawing 1 (( Scott is his name )) then David (( another classmate )) came by and we chatted for a bit, Scott claiming how David was 'smooth with the ladies' (( or so how I put it )).

I SWEAR!!

At Delta College, it must be National "Pick Up" Day.

Good point. I used to me modest and while it made me feel good inside, that's about it. I watched all the egotystical pricks feel good on the outside so I decided to try that and see what happened. Well, without the being a prick part. I think I've developed a fairly heathly ego, but it's a delicate balance trying to keep it in check.
