The Rod Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Degression minutes turn into hours into days a word of encouragement now only spurs a moment of regretful reflection destiny wavers did i lose the path? happiness is too much of a strain when every corner turned screams of sorrow the sun's lost its gleam flowers appear dull and lifeless sunsets become only remindings of a hopeful end a look in the mirror reveals only a shell no longer is there a soul behind those eyes only the ones who are fulfilled are supposed to look forward to death 'try' becomes 'give up' a smile turns into a frown and beauty is no longer found in this world the flame that is life wavers and is blown out everything is black
The Rod Posted April 2, 2006 Author Posted April 2, 2006 I'll attempt a more up-beat poem next time... I know not everyone likes to read these downer ones...
Brenda Starrr Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 It's actually refreshing. All of mine are really sexual in nature.
The Rod Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 well that's good... I write quite a few different styles, all depending on my mood at the time. I also write erotica, and won a trophy once for one on a site. If you were ever up for it maybe we could do a collaboration. I've done one erotica collaboration before, and it actually turned out quite good. Just an idea...

I had written a scenario that was really, really hot. However, when my computer crashed, it got lost.
The Rod Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 the same thing happened to my old ones sadly (everything that wasn't uploaded to the poetry site), or else I'd put one on here as an example. But yeah, whenever I'm not totally busy one day we'll have to do a melding of the erotic minds and see what we come up with.

If you read it, you saw what was happening. I was really proud of this piece.
The Rod Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 I feel your pain Brenda. And I would say that I hope that you can write one like that once again to make up for it, but you can never truly get those great ones back...
