:devil Right now I have filled out the forms for getting a grant/student aide for

Computer Numerical Controls,CNC. I have to take the aptitude test tomarrow,

and then also file on the internet so the process goes quicker.A good friend of mine

told me today that this kind of work is the way the machinist and manufacturing itself is

going.Hopefully this fall is when I start going to classes and get hands on training.

CNC shops pay from 10-25 ,possibly even more per hour.There are certain types

of programming in this trade,for example: you can program the cutter path

on the computer for a specific tool,at a shop 2,000 miles away,or on the other side of the world from the Detroit area.Right now I am really looking forward to this,and be able to get my certificate in CNC manufacturing,Because Macomb Community College

is very good,Wish me luck.

I bet that will be a great career move for you.

My ex-husband is a machinist and over half the jobs he would apply for he couldn't qualify for due to lacking that CNC training. There seemed to be a shortage of trained workers for that too so you should have your pick of jobs when you get that completed.
