So yeah, the best evil being in the entire Doctor Who series is on the Sci-Fi channel Friday. I've already seen it (couldn't wait, downloaded torrent) but you should all tune in. Runs from 9:00 to 10:00 so you can still make it to your club of choice afterwards.

Interesting note, this episode and the use of any Dalek or Dalek likeness wasn't going to happen.

In other news I just got THIS! on e-bay. Can't wait to get it.

I was really impressed with the new season of Doctor Who. Though I didn't particularly care for one aspect that they decided to try out, the rest of it was done well, and seemed to stay true to what made Doctor Who great, while at the same time exploring some new territory. Now, we just need to see cool new alien worlds.

David Tennant, if I remember correctly.

Chris Eccleston made a good Doctor, but he's an arrogant prick. I hope David Tennant is a little more humble in his approach.

after seeingh Eccleston's previous performances to this... i'm not sure.

for someone who doesnt drive a car he did well on top gear in an automatic transmission

I'll always think of Tom Baker when I think of TheDoctor.

It's been said that the reason Tom Baker was so iconic as the Doctor was that he wasn't just playing a role, he was playing himself.

Also, I need a scarf like that.

But, you know, I rather liked Peter Davison, and Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor, too. They each brought a new dimension to the character, and moved it in their own directions. Colin Baker, though, I could have done without.

The first three doctors, I haven't seen enough to be able to comment on, though Patrick Troughton seemed to have made a very likable Doctor as well.

i only remember the "older version" of tom baker, another guy who had his hair, but appeared to be quite a bit older, and then the blondish-short-haired dr who came after baker.. haven't experienced any others, far as i know...

The Daleks and Davros are some of my favorite villians from the entire Dr. Who universe.

you know if you send an SMS message to a landline in the UK. its read out bu the voice of tom baker!

he also does the naration for a comedy series "little Britan"

My favorite, I guess, was always the Master.

I know, for all the Daleks are rolling dustbins, the Master was a comic-book villain, but Delgado and Ainley both played him so very well.

my mom actually knitted my dad a Tom Baker scarf a long time ago.. He still has it, and it looks exactly like it. I've read several of my dad's Dr. Who books, I think he's got all of them... I think the new Dr. Who is pretty good so far for the 2 episodes I've seen.

When's your birthday? And the scarf from the beginning, or later on in the series, when it got even LONGER?

The master was my favorite villian too. He was just so... suave and .... EVIL! :swoon

My birthday is not until Dec. 28.

And I liked the super-long scarf, which had green in it. I really didn't care for the one with only red tones in it.
