FarrIL Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Yeah, I've always hated Photoshop but I guess I'm warming up to it, now that I paid attention to a few parts of a tutorial and experimented here and there.... Soo..... I've made a few LJ icons and a few banners..... Icons "Dreamworld" The stock photo is of me and it's one that Kelly took where I look like I was sleeping. "Gashes" This was taken out of another manipulation which I'll post later. But when I tried to resize the image, it jut cut out everything, save for this. The X is actually over my eye.... you'll see in the manipulation where this icon came from. "A Black Annis Tribute". Again, stock image from yours truly. Anywho, the Black Annis of myths is characterized as having a yellow eye. There ya go. <<; "Boogeyman" Yep, stock photo from me. I didnt intend for this to come out reminding me of Saw or any other horro flick, but "Boogeyman" just seemed to fit the image. Credit same as above. The words, I was told, came from the Bible. e.e "Save Me" Lyrics taken from KMFDM's song of the same name Artwork from Magna Carta and the stock icon from Telle =3 Original image where "Gashes" came from.... e.e Banners "It's Not Me" for all you Neuroticfish fans. =D "Kingdom". The lyrics were taken from L'Ame Immortelle's song "Kingdom". Stock icon by Telle, original artwork from the Magna Carta game. <<; ;>> And yes, I DO realize "Freedom" is spelled wrong. e.e Something for the harsh and depressed. oo; Another slice of a render I did, with a layer of burgundy colour burned over it. Okay, that's enough.
Der Nister Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Oh sure, she does great work, posts it for us to look at. We compliment her and then what? She bails and doesn't come back to check her thread. :erm
Head Wreck Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 i love photoshop. but dont get me wrong the real question is are you an art artist or a graphic artist. my sister has just gotten onto correl painter IX. definatly more geared up to my sisters style of art. on a side note. heres my friends website. he's colour blind on all three scales but OMG damn turning him from jasc to adobe was the right thing to do. http://www.drstrangelove.co.uk

Der Nister Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I was kinda hoping for critiques. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Critiques? Ok. The lines are off center. How's that?
Brenda Starrr Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Critiques....critiques.... That "yellow eye" looks green to me...... How'd I do?

FarrIL Posted May 3, 2006 Author Posted May 3, 2006 Critiques? Ok. The lines are off center. How's that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha Ha HAA, Sooth. Brenda: Yeah, for some reason, layering a yellow colour makes it green later. ><!!
Der Nister Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Ha Ha HAA, Sooth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well ya know........ :whistling I can't really critique for many reasons and here they are. 1) Unless I'm mistaken you are experimenting with the program so I undertsand you're just getting use to how it works and what it does. 2) Being an artist myself I can appreciate other peoples work. 3) I also know what a great artist you are and comend you for going electronic in your artistic expression. 4) Last - you did do some really great stuff here even if you feel it wasn't exactly how you wanted it to turn out.
FarrIL Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 Well ya know........ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shucks Sooth!! :blushing
Msterbeau Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Reminds me of the first stuff I did in Photoshop. 12 years ago. :whistling
FarrIL Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 I only wish I knew how to do this sort of thing! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tutorials helped a bit...... http://www.deviantart.com/view/24163036/ =3
FarrIL Posted May 17, 2006 Author Posted May 17, 2006 I HAVE RETURNED!!! With more icons..... oo; Magna Carta base from Telle =3 Aaaaahh, the return of pseudo-UV reactant colours!!! W00!! Looks like streaks of blood so I called it "Bloodline" after the Cruxshadows song. Magna Carta base by Telle. The character in the image looks like she's pondering after a bloody fight. oO Same image as above, only an extra layer added to it. This one made it look more like a comic book panel. Magna Carta base by Telle. God, I cant remeber HOW I made this image. It started as some curve-bending and then I think a few layers of a different colour. Came out kinda looking like some sort of Angelic being. oO Again, base by Telle. I guess the image, if you look close, explains for itself. It's the bottom half of a woman.....
