Give me a maybe.... it will all depend on the dates.... I can say that I could possibly do a Saturday night but not a Friday night

Posted

Who said anything about only one night? I was thinking a friday and saturday night, that way those who can and want to can do both nights, and only one night if it's all you can afford or are available for.

P.S. - Astralcrux says she's bringing her hookah.

Fees Associated with Reservations at State Parks and Recreation Areas

Non-refundable reservation fee - $8

Local-sale/On-site reservation transaction fee - $5

Site transfer fee - $5

Cancellation fee - $10

If we do Brighton SP, it will be $10/night for a rustic site & $17 for a modern.

"Modern campsites feature electric hookups (amps will vary), modern toilet buildings, showers, wheelchair-accessible sites and sanitation stations. In addition, some campgrounds have pull-through sites for larger vehicles."

Maybe. Depends if I have that weekend with kids or not. I have them this weekend. I have them every other weekend. Figure from there...

Yet another item on the checklist. Do we want to make this event kid-friendly? One option might be to have a site for just the kids so they can all share a tent or two. I think we can have 1-2 tents per site. Also, is there a preferred weekend that we do this? Preferrably sometime in June for myself.

P.S. - This message indirectly brought to you by satan, as it is my 666th post. :devil

Crank, the modern sites have regular bathrooms and showers. I prefer those too. However the rustic sites do have outhouses.....ewwwww stinky.

I can bring 2 tents, 1 is a smaller dome tent, perfect for the kids if we do a kid friendly weekend.

Don't forget to vote on the weekend (6/9-6/11) in the other poll for the trip! No, I'm not trying to sway you....

The list is getting pretty decent... I figure we'll need at least 2-3 sites thus far.

Posted

Try to get the sites near an available cabin. I'll spring for one of those myself. :)

Posted

I didn't notice the campsites being near cabins when checking online.

Posted

The cabins are in a different area than the tent sites. Also the cabins only have an outhouse near them. Also the cabins only have 1 full to queen sized bed. Other beds are bunks, small bunks at that.

As to where to pick the sites, you'll want the upper level. It has nicer sites, more trees.

I believe thats where I was looking. Closer to most stuff, and more trees are a necessity for this group, as the sunlight willbe pretty abundant in a month.
