Miranda Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 that reminds you of your childhood instantly when you hear it. Mine is Lido Shuffle by Boz Scaggs.
Brenda Starrr Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Carly Simon's "Youre So Vain." I was 7, it was 1972, and Hurricane Agnes was hitting us hard. I'll never forget that year.
LuluVox Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 "Our House" by Madness. Me and my big brother and sister used to sing it a lot when I was really little.
kellygrrrrrl Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Walk like an Egyptian....the Bangles My mom bought me a "Pocket Rocker" for x-mas when I was 8 and my 1st tape was that song. Remember Pocket Rockers? They were like tiny walk-mans with cassettes the size of a quarter? Yep, walk like an Egyptian......
Der Nister Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Fractured mirror by Ace Frehley. I love the sound of acoustic/electric guitars along with a mandolin mixed in.
Shade Everdark Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I think it would have to be "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House. That didn't come along until I was almost 10, but I think it brings me back to my childhood more than any other song.
saechalyn Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Fortunately for me, I've blocked out everything before age 14 or so.
ZhukovCodeslinger Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 The song that does it for me is "So What" by the Anti-Nowhere League. That song reminds me of family sing alongs when we would make smores and stuff before I got too cool to sit around with my mom and dad and my aunts and sing songs and they even made me make a macaroni art thing... I was too young to realize how lame that was.
Guest Megalicious Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I dont know there are two sections to my so called "childhood". When the rest of you had time to grow up, I had to grow up pretty fast, and had to learn really early that no one was there for me .. but me. And my bubbie, which I feel bad for because he wasnt much older then I was he gave up alot but he was still a kid too, but he did what he could. :love you bubbie: :tear Circle game by Joni Mitchell. I use to love that song. Bike- Pink floyd Burn down the mission- elton John Life goes on - tupac Reminds me of highschool because I'd come home and it would always be on .. lol .. during sessions anything Zepplin due to my father. I have so many different layers musicly .. asking me to pick one song is like asking me to cut off my own arm ... lol ..

Blackmail Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I melt With You by Modern English because when I was like 8 I wanted to grow up and be like Nicholas Cage in Valley Girl and listen to cool new wave music and have a weird haircut. Both happened by the way, but the second one wasn't really by design.
