Hmm, 2 I can think of so far is "Tainted love" originally by soft cell but re-done by manson and "peronal jesus" originally by depeche mode but also re-done by manson.

:devil I do not like the Idea of Paul Roger's singing for Queen,Freddy was better,R.I.P. Some things are better left alone.

That is incorrect... "Tainted Love" Originally by:Holland-Dozier-Holland, recorded by the Marvelettes "Where Did Our Love Go" was released as a single on June 17, 1964, Soft Cell combined their cover of "Where Did Our Love Go" with a cover of Gloria Jones' "Tainted Love".Gloria Jones recorded the 1964 northern soul classic "Tainted Love".

And to continue wit h my music snobbery... I can't stand any of the covers done by Manson, with the exception of "Down In The Park" originally done by Gary Numan... But Gary Numans is still better...

*Music Snob Returns*

And the cover that Johnny Cash did of personal Jesus was a million times better then Mansons, and Mansons cover of "Sweet Dreams" should be grounds for public execution via fireing squad...

:devil How about Fear Factory's "Cars" That was a good version, and I beleive Gary Nueman sang on it too.

I do believe that the manson track in quesiton was also done with Nine Inch Nails, making it its only saving grace (if it's not, don't tell me, in this case ignorance is bliss). In any case the Girls Under Glass version is also good.

Also Crank you are correct and he even appears in the video.

My favorite cover of all time would have to be Icehouse doing "Love Like Blood" originally by Killing Joke.

The Cruxshaddows doing "Ballrooms of Mars" is a good second runner up originally by T-Rex.

When I'm in the right mood I like most of the stuff by Opium Jukebox (worth looking up).

Also JBO's "always look on the dark side of life" (self explanitory) and Jesus Christ Superstar by Laibach.

I just don't like the song "Blue Monday" to begin with regardless of who's singing it. Go ahead, shoot me now. I know I'm one of the few who doesn't like it, but I just don't. Can't explain why.

Another song I hate that everyone else loves is "Come on Eileen" originally done by hunnamumblemumbleung. However, I really like the version done by Save Ferris.

Huge Problem with the "Dead Souls" Cover that NIN did

"Time Has Come Today" - The Chambers Brothers

Redone by: The Die Hunns - Long Legs

"All of Me" - Seymour Simons

Redone by: NOFX

"Me First & the Gimme Gimme's" is a punk cover band. All they do is covers.

They do a ton of stuff, all of which I like.

I like the all of the above covers suggessted as well.

Snobby or not :whistling

I actually liked Orgy's "Blue Monday", but then again, I havent heard the original much.

Manson's "Tainted Love" I loved better than Skinny Puppy's version. HANDS DOWN!!

Manson's "Sweet Dreams" on the other hand..... blah.

Manson's "Personal Jesus"... I love it but I think I'm falling even more in love with Depeche Mode's original. More I hear it, the more I love it.

Britney Spears' "I love Rock 'n' Roll" I want to shoot her!! DAMMIT!! POOR cover to a good song.

The Ataris "Boys of Summer"..... I want to slaughter that band and hang their skins out to dry (( well, not literally )) because they ruined Don Henley's classic. =(

Skinny Puppy never covered "Tainted Love" or any other song... The often confused cover of "Tainted Love" is actually a band called: Deathline Int'l... I hope this cleans up any ignorence of of this matter hense forth...

(sorry I love Skinny Puppy, and when I heard of this "cover" that they did... well I researched the crap out of it...)
