It's official. Burning Party for the uber-ungoth moose sweater at my place. Bring your own embarassing threads to burn - if you care to make the 700 mile trip.

I'm done with dressing in a manner I'm uncomfortable with. It's back to 24-7 punky styles for me.

>goes off to find vermilion hair dye and lighter fluid... hope I don't accidentally confuse the two<

I actually threw away my fleece Red Wing sweater. It was falling apart SO badly it was embarrassing.

shit, i have alot of "un-gothiy" clothing. But half of them are my work clothes. a small portion is clothes i never wear but dont wanna give away. And the others....can be goth with the right shirt and accessories. Lyke, t0t4lly 0/\/\G!

None of my clothes are goth, but I do have an abundance of black clothing. I could totally 'goth out' at work. I'd have to do it gradually, though, 'cause if I showed up one day all gothy everyone would think I'm weird(er than than they already think I am). If I did it slowly, it would break them in and avoid shocking people and calling emergency mental health services.

calling emergency mental health services.

Mental or medical? :wink :

Oh I have a whole wardrobe of "ungoth" cloths mainly for my work but I have a few real big winners like my Abercrombie and finch shirt I got for a gift that I keep for comedic relief. I also have a fabulous collection of old navy t-shirts that I use to clean the house in. What else lets see.. oh yes how about a whole section of white dress shirts and my personal favorites my golf shirts my mom got me. But my all time best, my collection of cuties boxers. I should be ashamed so ungoth,

i wear jeans and a tee-shirt basically every day. or a stupid sweater. i am so stuck in 1992. but in 1992 i felt stuck in 1985... hmmm i am not sure what to make of that.

i wore overalls one time in my life. i was teased SO badly for it i never wore them again. normally i don't care what anyone would think or say but after getting called farmer melissa over and over again that was enough to scar me for life. i don't care if i don't look cool but i don't want to look like a fucktard either.

I toned down for work...the administration didn't care, but some of my students were just mortified that their teacher dressed like their children....their evil emo/goth/punk children.

:)

So, I end up wearing baggy blue-jeans (ala hot topic....don't start!) but then dress it up with a nice sweater or blouse. It makes people more comfortable. So, now I have plenty of "non-goth" clothes.

The MOST "ungoth" has to be my light weight denim button-up shirt with a picket fence and yellow butterfly embrodered on the upper left shoulder, with letters "DTAWA" standing for the Dalton Thresherman's Association Women's Auxiliary. The Dalton Thresherman's Association is a group of farmers who bring out the steam-engines once a year for a parade in a very small town, the Women's Auxiliary are the wives who cook for them.

Nothing could be less goth than that...

...nothing.

Looking at my clothing draws more of an immediate, "What do you own that IS goth?"

I have and wear a lot of black, of course, but I don't really have "goth" clothing. That said, I've never really identified as goth. It is more like a social circle I've been a part of, and I like their music. Err... used to like their music. Can't stand the popular stuff in goth clubs these days. I seem to have always gone for the goth ladies too, for a variety of reasons.

I have sky blue fuzzy jammy-jams with a snowflake pattern....with FEET! I call it my onesie. It makes me look like a big blue potato, but it is soooooooo warm. And not remotely goth, and I don't care!

My pink mohair coat and houndstooth fedora. I don't care. I love them!

Posted

Just my suits and dresses for work. I have to look normal sometimes.....and yes some of them are not black.
