It's not so much the special sauce that's disturbing, it's the idea of adding lettuce and cheese that makes me cringe.

the sesame could be painful also

Ewww... Glad to be a vegitarian. Just got the nasty image of disgruntled Micky D's employees giving all the burgers special sauce.

Riddle: How do you know it's Ronald McDonald at the nude beach?

Answer: From his sesame seed buns!!!

I'm lovin' it.

Hey, wasn't that horizontal lambada guy from Upright Citizens' Brigade? Maybe I'm wrong. I personally like the Prom nigt guy's expression a lot.

But the last few were the best.

I almost like what the analysis took me to more.

I couldn't resist, and sent McDonald's marketing department this e-mail yesterday:

Regarding your banner advertisement currently running at this web address: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/simmons/index and including the slogan, "Double cheeseburger? I'd hit it..."

Apparently, your marketing team is not aware that "I'd hit it" is slang for, how to put this delicately, "I'd have sex with it."

This advertisement is currently a source of much laughter on the web.

I'm a little surprised to see the ad still running.

Just thought you might like to know.

They sent this response this morning:

Hello:

Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald's about our online advertising.

We're sorry you were disappointed with this advertisement. We take pride in producing commercial messages that will be enjoyed. We certainly never intended for it to offend anyone. Your comments have been shared with our advertising staff and independent advertising agency who work together to develop our commercials. Please know your feedback is helpful and will be considered in the future planning of our advertisements.

Again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Your trust and confidence in our company's tradition of producing high quality advertising are important to us.

I wouldn't say I was "disappointed". Entertained, maybe.

hehe, that's awesome, FC.

McDonald's is getting all sorts of free advertising from this. I'd be surprised if they took the ad down anytime soon. Heck, there are people making follow-up mock ads. People are seeking out the McDonald's ad. We're all getting more golden arches impressions and... man, a double cheeseburger sounds really good right now, no matter which way you hit it.
