I never go, have not in years. This is the only real 'holiday' for jehovas witnesses. 'The Memorial' Mainly, the timing was right and my 87 year old grandmother who I rarely see, this particular day is SO important to her. I knew it would make her happy. When they (her and my aunt) came over they were not expecting me to go. I came around the hallway dressed to go and my sweet Lil grandma started crying and we hugged and she said (though tears) 'I wish your grandfater was here. I love you. Seemed like EVERBODYEVERBODY knew me, by name. I hardly recognized a quarter of the people. They know me from when I was a little boy. Try not to laugh to hard at the pics. Racing out the door with the bible. It didn't burst into flames but my palms were sweating. I buddies up with this blind guy , we talked a lot. Kept thinking about what a raw deal that is. Grandma was in the back seat on the way home. We talked a lot. I'm glad I went despite getting nothing from the service itself. I think I made grandma's like... decade. That was TOTALLY worth it.

I seem to be "up arrowing" tons of posts even if I don't agree with what they are saying. (The little up arrow in the bottom right of every post) On DGN the "up arrow" is not an agreement or a "i like this" what it means is "I appreciate you taking the time to post this" that is the extent of its meaning. But it is NOT a "like" button (really wish that stupid heart wasn't there) The idea being "thanks for posting this content even if I don't agree/like what its talking about. Without moderately decent posts we'd have nothing to read.

I found out about an hour ago from The Gimp that he passed. While he didn't really care for me in the last few years just because of my personality from my understanding (can't make everyone like you, I suppose), I've never had anything but good things to say about him. He was always a familiar friendly face at the clubs that I knew I could pop a seat next to at the bar and chat for awhile. And he was always real generous, you ever needed anything, he'd totally oblige without any attitude. I've been told that funeral arrangements will most likely be announced within the next week.

Now I feel like dancing...not about the pain, but about the 2 POUNDS WooHoo!!!
