My ex boyfriend from 25 years ago who had recently reached out to me to idk reminisce, he said I was his longest friend, but he messaged me last night and tells me leaving Michigan away from me was the worst decision he ever made, he never stopped loving me, and some pretty intense feelings and than I get a fb voice note from his brother today that he hung himself. His brother is deaf and I was not sure that's what I heard but when I called his brother he said my brother hung himself last night at midnight. I asked he was at hospital and he said thst he was dead. I can't function or describe what I feel and the family omg I'm lost for words. My heart physically hurts, I cried to my mom on the phone for the past hour.

Thinking I'd really like to visit the D somehow, on my upcoming trip to Hell, I mean, Indiana, this coming week/weekend. Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford to. I have to keep my trip short due to the responsibilities of owning a ranch, and the fact that we can't depend on other people to do things properly. However, if somehow we can afford the gas and time, I will make every effort to head that way! Not very often I get East of the Mississippi, so if I can visit Detroit I'd sure love to. Oh well, we'll see!

So I should have posted this before I left so instead of what I'm about to do I'll just go over what I just did - The wife and I just officially hiked to the summit of Pike's Peak this last week! Wednesday-Friday to be specific. Not in the shape we used to be. Definitely want to tackle more, so we're starting to go for more hikes, and work our way back up to where we were just 10 years ago. Getting old sucks, but what sucks even worse? Getting passed going uphill to Pike's Peak, by 70 & 80 year olds. Seriously, I lost count of how many, obviously 65+ year olds actually passed us like we weren't even moving, on the way up the mountain. That's how I wanna be when (if) I get that age!

Feels like I fell off the face of the Earth for a couple of days there. But it felt good to see my father Friday. It feels so surreal seeing how I am just like him, not having grown up around him. After I got the site working again, I mentioned that this version will no longer be supported in the near future as Invision is upgrading to version 5. We are currently on version 4 as it was the quickest way to get the forum back after we lost it the beginning of July to GoDaddy due to non access and the site being lock in their system account by Troy. My idea moving forward was to change things up a bit as this is basically my ballgame. In the past, there have been a lot of concern about adding a chat feature to the site due to how quick people can get into heated discussions, but I was wondering, since there are already Discords out there for DGN groups, wouldn't that be a place for that type of interaction in conjunction to access to the forum. Of course, if someone accesses it through this site, they would have to enter as a legitimate member. My other thought was to have store links added to the forum since the hosting site actually offers SSL certification. Members with items to sell would be able to link their store through the main forum front page that will be available to public traffic. They would also have the option of members only sales which would only be accessibly in the members section of the site. Also, having the SSL certification will allow for the public version of the forum to host links of outside seller sites which would also create seller/buyer hub traffic. The Invision software package allows for "Clubs" inside the forum. The Club creator would take on the roll of MOD to the Club they create with permissions bestowed by admin. That would be another way to have more streamline discussions among like minded individuals while still being within the forum community as a whole. Essentially, I was thinking of being the main presence of the new version of the forum. Prior to COVID, I would plan personal outings to visit as many offsite members as I could reach, just to say "Hi". It was actually fun. The furthest we made it, however, was Adrian, Michigan to visit Class-Punk. Others were around the Metro-Detroit area. Before things were shut down, we were planning a trip to Toledo, Ohio to visit sekhmet2002. Drive-wise, we made it up to Holly, Michigan for the Michigan Renaissance Festival. Later, I had read where a few ideas were being tossed around about having a DGN day at Ren-Fest. I would still be open to something like that if people were interested in going. There was also a post about Walk Around Detroit nights/events where you get dressed up and just hit the entertainment strip...was my understanding. That definitely sounded like fun as that was already something I did on my own...lol. Lastly, I was thinking about hosting/organizing various types of "Get Out & Mingle" events/outings like hired DJ venue events, Karaoke outings, Lounge meet ups and free location hangouts like Belle Isle, parks and other spaces open to the public. Since things are getting shaken up anyway, I figure why not go all out. I'm currently using a website building tutorial, that came with the site security account, to learn how to add dimensions to the community forum to enhance user experiences. If I get this right, TDGN might share some Facebook-like qualities and more. I didn't want to limit the site to only being a message board. I'm thinking more along the lines of an interactive virtual community forum with a real world presence. ~~~~~ Therefore: New forum layout New software upgrades New platform for public and member additions Varying in-person interactions Redefined internet footprint Although, this is my vision of things, they are not set in stone. I lost 65 pounds so far. First I got out of obesity range and I have 10 lbs to go to be considered normal, well not overweight. I'll never be normal and that's good-ish.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit No One Wants) Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move. I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it. But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day, I can handle it! What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Thanks! All went pretty well considering I haven't done any serious wrenching in over 10 years. Took a lot longer than I expected. Arthritis, bad back and everything makes stuff like this even harder. Getting old sucks. Seriously. I guess the Army and my overall hard lifestyle has finally caught up with me. At any rate, car is running beautifully now. Should last me another 250k miles! Love these old Hondas. Treat them right they will run forever. Which I cannot say about *any* car made after ~2004. Especially now. Car manufacturers purposely make them more expensive to fix. Ideally, (for them) they would rather you throw your car away as soon as it breaks, and buy a new one. Sad but true! 🤷

I do at least really like my professor she's awesome and running for office in her town somewhere in New York. She just published a book on homelessness. She's smart as hell and real, no bs, no sugar coating, and also hilarious.

Yeah I grow all my own and I just couldn't imagine living without it. But I also have medical issues that it helps me deal with, a lot. It's more of a well being thing than a recreational thing for me. I will certainly never live in a state like Indiana again, where weed (and even smokable industrial hemp) is still illegal. What is going on with this world lately. On Thursday around 6:14pm, Girl Monchichi called me because she got into an accident a few blocks from home. She calls me and I hear a man yelling in her phone saying she was drunk and I heard my niece telling the man to give her her keys back. Then she says "don't hurt me" while this man is still yelling. I was in a panic listening to this conversation on her phone for the entire time it took me to make it to the scene of the accident: 6 minutes and 59 seconds. After I check her out, I see a bunch of dark figures standing on the grass near the curb and I was told that the big guy had reached into her vehicle and took her keys out of the ignition. So of course I'm disturbed at the thought of this big man and my little niece. I yelled down the street for whoever stole her keys to give them back and a guy yells, "no she's drunk" to which I replied she was not and to give her back her keys. This entire time, I'm taking pictures of the accident scene, but when I get down to the guy's vehicle that was hit while parked, he starts yelling at me about coming into their neighborhood acting like an idiot, and that she hit his vehicle, then he starts using profanity and yelling at me that what if he came to my place and hit my car. Now he's getting louder and yelling that he wants 10K cash right now! I yelled for him to give back the keys and he yells that he's "a grown a** man", so I yelled that I was "a grown freaking woman". I yelled that all I asked for was to give her keys back and then he really starts laying into me from across the street. At this point, I realized there was no point is saying anything else to him, surrounded by his kids, so I just stood there, in the street, in front of his tore up vehicle and just stared at him while he continued to yell and curse at me. I'm just glad that I didn't laugh at that guy when he ran out of things to yell at me because that might have escalated things as I was just standing there, watching him act like an idiot in front of those kids. I guess he feels he showed me. Finally he says that the police was there. So I turned and walked back down the street and told the police my side of the story. Of course, by the time I hear from the officer after he spoke to the one who listened to their side of the story, he said that we were both heated and exchanged words. I wasn't heated, but I do keep forgetting that people who have loud voices are obviously having issues with someone. I even demonstrated to the officer the way I said/"yelled" everything. But I'm usually painted as the bad guy or the "unruly" one in situations like this. So whatever. And it took the cops to finally get her keys back.

I am so in love with Karaoke at Round 1, Great Lakes Crossing!!! Girl Monchichi been trying to get me out there for a while now and we finally managed to go midday on Friday. When you walk inside, I declare it's like Japan threw up a pastel rainbow of a Tokyo Night Club (what we call an Entertainment Center). All I know is that I'm hooked. And since it doesn't close until 2am, we didn't have to worry about rush hour traffic going and coming back. With regards to food and price, "Round 1" beats "168 Crab & Karaoke", hands down. It's all a matter of the length of the drive at this point. But it's doable if there are not appointment runs the next day.

It could be just a mental thing. However I think that eating before bed is giving your body the energy it would have gotten from sleep. Which is why I try not to eat past 6pm or 7 if I can help it.

I miss the lack of need for subscriptions and the art curriculum in schools. No real emotional outlets growing up, and now you have to pay for everything. Let me watch my favorite shows in peace Disney!😭😭and why are all the cool art theme classes out of the city and so much money🥲 and why does no one wave anymore to simply say hi, and what is up with the lack of good workers in the hospitality field, I'm doing everyone's shift😭with little pay that goes towards Netflix, and Netflix can't even keep the good shows (some of the movies are good though) and ahhhhh.... Anyway, that's my vent coming back to the board.

I wholeheatedly agree about kids these days. My son is way more mature and knowledgeable than I ever expected, and he literally turns 16 tomorrow! 🤯 Crazy how time flies! I think the fact that most kids now have unbridled access to the internet, and the internet has been around all of their lives, they're growing up a little faster than we did (in a way). Although, there are clear differences in how we were raised compared to kids these days. But yeah at this point, being proactive on our behalf is a good thing but, when it comes down to it, there's little we can actually do to "shield" them from what they want to know/do.

I think I am about to dye my hair dark brown. Not black but a deep brown. It's called sweet cola... black makes me look way more washed out than normal Same. I completely forgot it and don't have the same cell phone that I had last time I was on DGN because black screen of death happened and that was the only device I had it saved on. Tron just reset it for me.
