I know we shot out of there like a Bat Out of Hell, but I had a sudden urge to leave and I am glad I did.
As soon as I pulled into my parking spot, Slinky (my cat that has been gone for days due to his father running him off) ran up to me in the truck wet, hungry & freaked out. I got him to come into the backyard. Me and his brother ,Baby Gray, coaxed him into the nursery. I dried him off and showed him Marmalade (his father) wasn't there. I fed them and did my best to barricade the entrance for the night so they can have uninterrupted sleep without their father chasing them away.
Now keeping their sister, Tawny, from picking at them through the nursery window...is another matter.
