It was so awesome to see Tron & C.J., along with a mess o' my wonderful friends at my Birthday gathering last Friday (the 7th). Thinking I'd really like to visit the D somehow, on my upcoming trip to Hell, I mean, Indiana, this coming week/weekend. Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford to. I have to keep my trip short due to the responsibilities of owning a ranch, and the fact that we can't depend on other people to do things properly. However, if somehow we can afford the gas and time, I will make every effort to head that way! Not very often I get East of the Mississippi, so if I can visit Detroit I'd sure love to. Oh well, we'll see!

So I should have posted this before I left so instead of what I'm about to do I'll just go over what I just did - The wife and I just officially hiked to the summit of Pike's Peak this last week! Wednesday-Friday to be specific. Not in the shape we used to be. Definitely want to tackle more, so we're starting to go for more hikes, and work our way back up to where we were just 10 years ago. Getting old sucks, but what sucks even worse? Getting passed going uphill to Pike's Peak, by 70 & 80 year olds. Seriously, I lost count of how many, obviously 65+ year olds actually passed us like we weren't even moving, on the way up the mountain. That's how I wanna be when (if) I get that age!

Maybe go to Planet Fuck This, I mean Planet Fitness. Oops. Need coffee.

The older I get the less I can tolerate alcohol. Honestly I don't even drink anymore for this exact reason. Can't handle the hangovers anymore. Not worth it at all. I don't even remember the last time I had a sip of alcohol but it's been years! Smoke weed every day though 🤠👍

Feels like I fell off the face of the Earth for a couple of days there. But it felt good to see my father Friday. It feels so surreal seeing how I am just like him, not having grown up around him. But it's nice to know where I get so many of my traits from. Turns out, he was the party person in my parents relationship. And at 80, he still doesn't know how to slow down. We finally went to the beach today!

Mostly, we're not sure if we're going to keep it and Snowbird to AZ in the Winter and come back to CO for the heat of the summer, but eventually I think we will live in AZ full time. For now the property in CO is always going up in value so the longer we hold onto it, the more it'll be worth, if we ever choose to sell. For now we have the option to stay at her cousin's and an option to buy a chunk of the 250 acres they bought. Our ranch in CO also needs a new well - a huge investment - so we're trying to decide if we want to fix the well at a cost of 50-100k, or just buy more land from her cousin. Either way will be good, though! Pretty much can't go wrong buying land, these days. Well, depending on the area of course, but out here, land just keeps going up in price, never down , so there's that.. Also it will take years to move our ranch, if we choose to move it all. I figure at least 3 or 4 of the biggest Penske truck loads, and that's conservative and if we broke everything down into pieces and packed the trucks like Tetris 🤣

My intern supervisor actually found a job they recently posted at the organization I'm at and she has recommended I apply so it made me feel great that she said that. It would be just like her position but at another location. I just don't know if I want to be a supervisor. I did apply though.

Have you ever had to stand up to someone who (in your opinion) is/was treating you bad ? If so, did you go through with it, or did you bite your tongue to keep the peace ? I went through with it, and may end up regretting it to some degree. But, one lesson I learned in life is, people will only treat you bad if you let them.

I know yesterday I saw it was supposed to be clear this week but later in the day it said snow all week, now it's probably another exploding tree. I'm over this cold shit. First day it's warm I'm sleeping outside. I'm never going in the house this spring and summer, I'm going to live outside lol.

What in the World happened. Made some time for myself to have some fun on Saturday. Sunday froze everything and services went wonky as the Wind caused outages and a weather disaster in the fur baby zone. Spent most of Monday trying not to freeze to death while repairing a roofing cover on the Hutch. The rest of the Shelter Zone is hit, but it will have to wait until the World thaws out. All the damage is literally frozen in place. 🤷‍♂️

Welp, one more year and she's 30. Today is her 29th. It's so crazy to grasp. I'm very proud of her and her brother.

~~~~~ I'm not sure if you got the wrong idea from my suggestions, but I have no intention of changing the members area of this forum which is why I spent so much time trying to find software that will keep the features we are used to. We are going to lose this current format regardless of what is or is not done. Members here have already created cliques, blocked other members and only communicate with members they "like". The SSL is because at least 5 members create and currently sell their goods in other locations. So why can't their own "community" back them instead? DGN got a ban against it a little over a decade ago because the site was promoting seller sites without permission. I do not intend to make the same mistake in any shape form or fashion. I keep hearing about people wanting to breathe life back into things, well, it definitely has to start somewhere regardless of if it's something that stands the test of time or not. I'm only interested in self-hosting which is why I test out software packages to determine if it is a fit or not. Unfortunately, that is a time consuming process to test everything it has to offer, so I don't enter into something like that lightly. My goal is to create an environment that people will want to hang around in without compromising what we stand for.
