The killing will not stop until one side is taken down (obviously).

In my opinion our country should step out and let them do what ever it is they are going to do. We can't expect peace talks (or whatever) to stop thousands of years of disputes between these people.

basically we have that area.... for the last 3000 or so years the jews and palastiniens have been killing each other there.

There has never been a central government there. The Jews had a few City/States, including Isreal, Jerusalim and a few others in the "south" and the Palestiniens had the north ruled by Califs.

Now.. the Palestiniens were made up of exiles from other Arab nations. They are not thier own ethnic group.. they are arabs from all over the arab penninsila. If an Arab Shiek banished you.. this is where you went.

No nation laid claim to it... it was wasteland for unwanted peoples.

it was like that all the way back to the days of Babalonia.

After the Ottaman empire fell apart thier empire was broke up into the countrys it was before they came to power... they drew borders.. establish local governments and when they wre done... there was Palestien.. that had never been self governed or had been anything other that bad wasteland... Great Britain was tasked with stewardship. then WWII happened...

People felt guilt for what had happened to the jews... a good portion of the worlds jewish people still ived in Isreal and the other City States.... so as a "I'm sorry for all that has happened to you" the UN gave the parts of the region that had historically been Jewish owned to the Jewish people.

The Arab league attacked. Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Eqypt and a few others... the jews fought them off all by themselves until 1957 when finally the USA started to be thier ally....

If the Israeli's did in fact kill innocent people on the beach then shame on them.

However, it is the hardline Palestinians who cause the majority of the problems in that area. Alot more Jews have died than Palestinians. The IDF usually does not target innocent civillians, the Palestinians almost exclusively target innocent civillians.

Forget the past, look at where we are today, it's hard to dispute the fact that the Israeli's have put a far greater effort into peace than the Palestinians. When Abbas took over he stated he wanted peace with Israel and his own people tried to execute him for it.
