Der Nister Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Watched a story on the 5 o'clock news about high tech 'gadgets' that kids are using to cheat on tests. I'm really starting to think that technology is breading a generation of dependant idiots. I mean, if you're gonna cheat (something I don't recomend) at least do it the old fashion way. Or at the very least be crative about it. What happened to the days of writing answers on your hand or shoes? These kids might be well versed in i-pods and text messages but it's starting to look as if they aren't learning anything in school. These gadgets are breeding ignorance in school studies. I fear for this countries future.
The_Dark Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I cheated my way through American History. My method backfired. I had an "in". I got a copy of the test from my history teachers daughter a few days in advance... she was one of my drinking buddys. Anyway... I would go through the history book with the test and look up the answers and then memorize them... So, you know.. I had to read the book to find the answers.... GOD DAMNIT!!!!
BrassFusion Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 In 9th-11th grade at my school, they forced all of us special eds and edwinas to buy TI-83s for graphing and programming, because they were so CUTTING EDGE. (not really, i'm only 23) Anyway, they taught us how to program really easy stupid games and formulas into these bad boys and we all had little cables to send out these cross-compatible creations. Imagine no one's surprise when an intrepid classmate started programming all the formulas we used in Physics and Calc into these nifty little programs... As far as I know, the teachers never found out and they STILL use standardized graphing calculators at that school.
Scary Guy Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Oh yeah, I remember cheating in math class with my neato watch/calculator. That was old school. Heh, American History you say... my teacher Mr. Hurnavich back in 11th grade let us openly cheat off eachother, he didn't even care. School was a huge joke and 1/2 the time I was correcting them, when I wasn't fixing their computers or things like that.
