Der Nister Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Does anyone know of any really nice halls? I think I want to get married and have the reception there. I want everything done at one place so there's not alot of driving around, ya know? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oddfellows hall in Westland (if it's still open) might be something to look at. Other than that the only other one I can think of off hand is Sokol center at Telegraph and Warren rd. These prolly aren't the best choices but they were the first to come to mind. Sumtin' to tink about. :grin
Scary Guy Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Scary Guy, would you be available Sept. 30th to DJ? Would you be interested? I would even pay you! :laughing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll have to take the day off of work but I don't think it should be a problem at all. We need to get togeather and go over a few things though before hand. IE what songs you want to hear, what you don't want to hear, what rituals you want to do etc... Just a thought, how nice is your local VFW hall? If any member of your family has been a veterin (not even sure if that's necessary) you can rent it fairly cheap for an evening. Or if you know someone with a rather large house you could see if they'd host it for you. That's how my parents got theirs done.
Brenda Starrr Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 That would be so cool, having SG DJ. And I need some ideas on just how you want me to perform your wedding. Same things as SG asked: What you do/don't want.
ManicQueen Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 I found a place. It's beautiful and cheap and outdoors. There isnt any restroom anywhere so guess what? We are going to rent this badass trailer that has mens and ladies toilets and sinks in them! Very elegant almost. :laughing Now all I have to do is get all the rental equiptment rented and all that stuff. Things are coming together great so far. Brenda, Rich is going to be writing up a few things that he and I would like you to include in the ceremony. Scary Guy, I'll be getting ahold of you soon to discuss all the details. It won't be much.. I'm easy to please. =)
Brenda Starrr Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Schweet. I look forward to seeing what's written.
Lilith Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I dont have tiem to read all that has been suggested already but While i was out yesterday Over near Gibralter Trade center In MT clemens I saw the RIver Boat, painted in all white with RED and Black accents, and thought how it would be a great Palce for a wedding. So any how I am suggesting some type of river/paddle boat in your area where you can hold the ceremony and Reception. IF i missed the target i am sorry i just noticed the title of the thread.......

I saw a show once featuring high-end ones used at events like the US Open. Pretty amazing... gold-plated faucets was the least of it. I'm glad your plans are coming together! Putting a wedding together can be an extreme pain in the wazoo. Next time I'm just gonna elope
