Another biblical question

:devil With these questions on the beginning of life,I always wondered if the Great Flood did happen, and that Noah's Ark is still yet to be found.

What I have heard about the great flood, was that it covered the entire planet in water, and everything was beneath the water. But here's an odd theory,Mt Everest is just about 30,000 feet above sea leval, and the oxygen,is really thin.Very hard to breath without an oxygen tank set-up with a resperator.Well if the water covered the top of this mountain, thats quite a height. This is just my opinion if the Great Flood really did occur.

If water covered the whole planet, then the water disappeared from the system after the flood. There's only enough water on the planet in vapor, and frozen into icecaps, to raise the overall water level 20 feet. I think I read that in a review panning Waterworld.

In any case, if the water level was 30,000 feet higher than normal, for whatever reason, the oxygen would expand out with it. It would have to go somewhere.

an interesting bent on the Noahs Ark theory:

Many scholars misninterpret the actual Hebrew meaning of Noah having found favor in God's eyes and thus being chosen to be the vessel from which all new human life woudl spring forth.

Noah was not any more righteous than anyone.

If you consider the language in the text in Hebrew and Aramaic - you may be suprised to find that God chose Noah because his bloodline was "pure". Shortly before the Noah account there is a breif biblical passage about the Nephilim annd the abomination that they were - a violent mix of angel and man.

Noah's bloodline had not been tainted with nephilim DNA.

He was pure homosapien.

A lot of cultures make references to great floods...

I don't believe that one happened on a world wide scale... and if it did.... yeah about 20 feet... but it probably referes to some kind of catastrophy
