we met in the military....just a few months before my tour (and hers) was up.

She was the new medic. I had a chest cold. She had a stethescope.

I was dating her friend Beth at the time.

We never really clicked, it was all jsut body heat, you know how it is when your young.

But I liked her friend Laura quite alot. Very nice girl, made me smile, told great jokes. Conversation was very easy between us, and although we came from vastly different places we instantly understood one another. She was also engaged to Dave and three weeks away from her own wedding....Beth and I were supposed to be in it.

You know how things are when you click.

theres a click and theres a CLICK! we were the latter. We were natural with one another.

Anyway Dave was not "the one". It happens.

She didint realize that entirely (about Dave) until we met. And there was nothign fishy going on (at first) with us - there was jsut a quick and feirce intimacy that happened through conversation.

Sometimes you settle for something "good"(???) as opposed to waiting or beleiving in something better. She never would have made it with Dave.

4 months later we were married.

I dont like to wait around and test something to death.

Zhuk and I were introduced through a mutual friend~ I didn't like him at first (and was NOT in the market for a new BF), but he was funny, smart, sorta-dorky, very sweet, and persistent! After 5 months or so I was piqued' and the rest is history. We have had many ups and downs, and gone through some major life changes but we have remained best friends throughout. We've been together 3 1/2 years so far and counting

its kinda silly but hey i used to have a lot of free time and i talked to some interesting people on the cults there... one was called cyber-rave-techno and around late february i think some guy asks any other ravers f/ southwestern ontario in here? and i'm like well i'm not in ontario but ur in windsor thats just across the river from me.

i told him about the mostly dead rave scene around here and about demf and we just kept talking for the next few weeks and generally had fun chatting w/ each other. i wanted to go to necto one night a few weeks later and had no one to go with and being the stupidly adventurous girl i am when he said he'd go i picked him up @ the border and we went together.

being that i'm quite vain and shallow and i'm always going after (and most of the time getting) the hottest guys @ clubs i decided i wasnt romatically interested in him the first time we met, but we kept talking, and about a month later went to the birthday massacre/deadstar assembly show together and i started to think hey he really is pretty cool... you know how when you get to know someone's personality and its a really good personality they start to look better physically to you? yup that started to happen

another week or so later he invited me to roll @ his house and i came over and he put vnv nation "holding on" on and pulled me to slow dance with him and said "i know its kinda lame and i know ur out of high school already and we're just friends but i would feel so lucky to have you go to prom with me" and i said awww of course and then later that night he did this hand puppet llama thing and it was so darn cute i kissed him.

and ya thats how me and my kunukunuk got together 2 months and going...

i dont know where i'd be without him ... he's my personal date book and luggage rack lol and he takes care of me so well =)

I met my husband (Brian) through a mutual friend of ours (Denise). He was with her in the diner at CC when I went in there one night. We looked at one another in the eyes as I sat down at our friend's table for the longest time and knew that there was something there. Then the first words out of his mouth were "we are on the same level aren't we?" I said yes. We became friends and after awhile the tention just got to be to great because we just knew that there was going to be something wonderful there is we just let it happen so we did. The man who NEVER tells a woman that he loves her told me he loved me after two days. A week later he asked me to marry him. That was early September. It will be six months since we got married on the last day of this month. In this whole time neither one of us can see ourselves being with anyone else, we have only gotten into 3 agruments as well. Life is good, and that is how a goth girl ended up with a little hippy snowborder.
