For fans of Velvet Acid Christ

For my Illustrator class, one of our assignments was that we had to choose an aspect of our culture and vector three images of said aspect. I chose "Music" and I chose to vector the Tri-bar Cross from the Cruxshadows, the band symbol for Skinyn Puppy and a logo off of the Velvet Acid Christ forum.

Voila!! =D

The linework was done in Adobe Illustrator and the colouring was done via the Magic Wand tool. Took me a few days but I think it turned out nice. ^^

Although I'm a little confused. The magic wand is for selecting areas of color. How could you use that to color it if there wasn't any to begin with? Or did you select the white areas that were surrounded by your linework and fill?

Yeah, I used the Magic Wand tool to select the area I want to colour in and then hit the brush tool and coloured what I needed accordingly.

And compared to the original image...... there was a lot of need for the Eye Dropper tool as well trying to get the colours and shading as close as possible.

The piece you posted here reminds me of the artist Pushead. He's well known most for his work with the Misfits and Metallica.

Looks like he did some stippling for shading and texture in that drawing.
