I had found out that my two had joined. I also had them removed as soon as I did. When they're 16/17 years old, fine. But not at 10/12.

MySpace does blow on many levels.

functionality being the biggest.

However, I have the obligatory page since I have some of my peeps that I connect with on MS and others on LJ. I don't use Myspace as a blog, and the live chat feature is dorky, but I wish livejournal had live chat, so...it's a crap shoot toss up.

Where is it sister???

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

look at my profile here on DGN, there's a link. I think http:://www.myspace.com/fiercecritter

I'm just starting work on it. I used a layout generator and wanted to tweak it more than their defaults, so to be able to figure out which code applies to which item, I replaced the color codes each with a different color. So right now, it looks like a hippie puked on a goth.

One thing maybe you can answer for me. The "under construction" graphic at the top of the page was done with a font called Papyrus. You can see what the font is supposed to look like there.

In the rest of my profile, I use that font. But can you tell me if it's defaulting to a Windows font on computers without Papyrus installed?

Thank you, sir! :grin

You don't, by any chance, have Papyrus installed on your computer, do you?

By the way, I didn't mean to say I'm opposed to being on others' friends list. I just don't think to seek that sort of thing out. Maybe once I've got the page all set, I'll do so.

I love myspace!

I got in touch with several college and High School friends, plus I can go hours just listening to various bands on there.

Thumbs up for Myspace!

No, what I'm saying is, if you have Papyrus installed on the machine on which you're viewing my Myspace page, you're for sure going to see Papyrus, rather than a Windows default font.

So I'd need someone who does NOT have Papyrus on their computer to check out my site and do the comparison I explained above.

I have Papyrus, and that's what I see. But someone who DOESN'T have it, well, I don't know if it's going to be the usual case of what they'll see is a windows default, which sucks.

I was viewing from a Mac using Firefox earlier... It showed up fine.

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
