There was a club down in Pontiac called the Industry. It was the was first club I have ever went to. I loved that club and it gave Pontiac a good name to me. I would say that it catered to Goth's pretty well. Have any of you guy's been to that club. It saddened me when it was replaced by a trendy club called the "Have A Nice Day Cafe. They even had a pajama party night their where people would come wearing their pajama's.

This was a booty bar and fancy meat market. All those bars along that street sucked like this one, Tiki Bobs, and Tonic.

Yes I remember Industry well. I met Robert Smith there after The Cure concert in 95!! It was one of the most amazing nights of my life! Industry was great. Have a nice day cafe was not so nice.

Oh, I remember that place fondly. It was the only place I knew how to get to in Ponticrack. I remember my friends taking me there when it became Have a Nice Day and I remember thinking it was strangely familiar, and then realized it was Industry, but now it was yellow.

I thought Industry was Detroit's only real 'club' like you would find in New York, Chicago and Miami....at least it was back in the 90's....I havn't been to some of these new ones like Sin, Seven and whatever else is out there nowadays.

And yeah Industry had some really good nights, they played lots of Detroit Techno as well as Meat Beat Manifesto, PWEI, Kraftwerk, Jesus Jones, Depeche Mode, New Order, etc.....I was there for my 21st birthday way back in 1908!

I used to get shipped over there to bartend all the time when i worked at st. andrew's hall back in the mid 90's. plus we'd occationally do noir shows there. saw moris day and the time there once too...lol
